Happy Friday, friends! I hope you've had a great week! Mine went so much smoother than I thought it would with going back after a week off and flying home hours before I had to be at work the next morning. I was so pleasantly surprised by this, and also grateful that I wasn't exhausted. I say I wasn't exhausted, but I as in bed by eight forty-five every night this week. 🤣
Moving right along...here are some favorites from my week.
These dolls were a favorite part of my week for sure! I love being their great auntie Jenn. We connect over so many things, but the top is definitely a love of reading.
I loved being in Colorado last weekend! The fact that many of their trees look like Christmas trees will always be a favorite.
The red rock in Colorado is also my favorite.
Getting dressed for work everyday is my favorite! I skipped a day, though, but my outfit was nothing spectacular: it was just black pants and a coffee colored shirt. I pulled out a dress yesterday, it was so warm! I have enough residual color left on my legs from last summer that I didn't feel like I looked pasty. This dress is three years old, but I still love it so much and get compliments on it every time I wear it anywhere.
These are a couple of favorite images I saw on socials this week. I especially love the one about humming! I had a conversation one day this week about choir with a friend, and she asked me if I felt like it still filled my cup, and you know what? It does. I had a long break from it for two years, one of which was when my life was crumbling around me; it's been so good for me to be back doing something I love.
Look what I've been doing again! I may not often reach for a book, but I have been lately. Reading is my favorite hobby!
While giving tests may not be my favorite, my little first grade friend is! She's so precious, y'all. I had a cut on my hand this week, and she put her little hand on top of mine where the cut was, looked me in the eyes, and said, "I'm so sorry that happened to you." And then she hugged me. I am putty in this child's hands! If I were ever given the chance to do this, I would consider adopting her I love her so much. She has wiggled her little sassy self right into the very crevices of my heart, and I feel so fortunate to be a small part of her little life.
Trying a new recipe this week was my favorite! It was broccoli with chicken, cream cheese, Kinders seasoning, and a packet of ranch salad dressing mix.
This is my current favorite body butter! I have really dry skin, so I love a whipped body butter. This one smells amazing!
This made me laugh out loud! Laughing is my favorite. Just call me Buddy.
Fifth grade math may not be my favorite, but when one of the students that I spend time with everyday handed me this and said, "If I'm working, you're working!" was.
Last but not least is this...impromptu after dinner ice cream runs with this one will always be a favorite!
