Happy Thursday! I'm here to link up with Patty today for this month's Monthly Musings. I'll jump right in!
1. Apple or pumpkin pie? I will always choose apple pie over pumpkin!
2. Favorite fall recipe; please share! I love soup and cannot wait to make my first pot. I found this recipe last night and plan on making this one first. This is a sausage tortellini soup.
3. Do you decorate for fall? Outside? Both? Yes! I don't usually do a lot outside, but I'm inspired by a neighbor and might do something this weekend. Stay tuned!
4. Pumpkin spice latte or apple cider? Of the two, apple cider all the way.
5. Favorite thing to bake in the fall? I'm not a huge baker, but I would like to make some fall muffins that are a special treat. It's a spice cake mix that I spruce up with pumpkin puree and cream cheese icing.
6. Do you like fall scented home products such as candles and cleaners? I do love both! My current favorite candle is Sticky Fingers by Buff City Soap, and I always most love the Acorn Spice by Mrs. Meyers.
7. Name a fall food that people love that you don't. I already mentioned it, but pumpkin anything isn't my favorite. I'm also not a big fan of butternut squash or squash soup. Maybe I just haven't had it prepared in the right way?
8. Candy corn...yes! Or blech? Yes ma'am!
9. When do you decorate for Halloween, if you do that? I do fall and Halloween all at the same time, but it's more fall than anything.
10. If you decorate for fall outside, do you use pumpkins, mums, or other fun things? Share the inspiration! I don't usually, but I have plans for some pumpkins and other fun things. I'll use mums if they're artificial, but I kill the real things too easily.

Those muffins look really good! It's fun to spruce up a basic or boxed mixed item. I just realized that I answered question seven incorrectly- I missed the fall food part and answered regarding a food in general that I don't care for. Oh well, I doubt anyone will care :). You'll have to share pics of your outside if you decorate...
ReplyDeleteThey were so good! I think I might make some and take them up to work one day. I don't know that anyone here will eat them. I do love sprucing up boxed mixes to make them more seasonal. I doubt anyone will mind that you answered your own way!
DeleteI prefer apple pie & apple cider too and just put a sausage tortellini soup on our October menu-- though I'm toying about swapping out the heavy cream I can't eat with some canned pumpkin to thicken it up... but I am afraid of changing the flavor too much. I tried almond milk last year and that was not a good swap. Your muffins look yummy!

DeleteI have already been on the lookout for acorn spice but haven't seen it yet! I love the candy corn and salted peanut combo! Your plate looks great. I realized I have a spice cake mix from last year and it hasn't expired! I will be making those, too! Yum!

DeleteI think it is the year of the pumpkin- we are all talking about decorating with pumpkins and gourds and I am excited...can't wait to see what you do!
