Start by deciding the final aspect ratio before choosing a layout, since square, portrait and landscape grids need different spacing. Keep gutters consistent, around 2-4% of the canvas width, so the collage looks balanced. Align images to a shared grid rather than eyeballing. Export at the largest dimensions the tool allows, ideally 3000px on the long edge, and check the file size. Avoid heavy filters that hide seams. Finally, preview at 100% zoom to catch uneven gaps before downloading.
