thankful Thursday

Happy Thursday, friends; I hope you're having a great week! I have so many things I'm thankful for this week. I'm going to just list them out in bullet points and include some pictures along the way.

  • family dinner nights

I made a favorite dinner of my sons on Tuesday night of this week; the ones here to eat were Graham, Jonah, their friend Nick and his girlfriend Lauren (and me). I love that their friends come to eat with us once a week now! This week I made beer cheddar Joe's, but next week I'm making something better and I'm thinking about salmon with broccoli and oven roasted potatoes.

  • time with family

It was so much fun spending time with my family this weekend/week! I'm so thankful that I have sisters to enjoy life with. I don't take them for granted!

  • gifts that I've received in the mail, like this one from my friend Debbie

  • my Pastor and the wonderful sermon he preached on Sunday
  • my job...everyday I wake up and thank the Lord that I get to go to work that day!
  • K-Love encouraging radio that I listen to in the mornings and leave on for the dogs
  • Spotify (music really is a gift)
  • my portable fans that I have all over the place
  • hearing my great nieces argue with who got to sit next to me at lunch on Monday
  • upcoming trips to look forward to
  • a friend that reached out to me Tuesday and invited me to her house this weekend
  • shows and movies to watch that I love
  • the tv in my bedroom, should I want to lay in bed and watch
  • great books
  • podcasts that are encouraging
  • getting a fun new (fall) order to sell in the bookstore

What are you thankful for this week? I'd love to hear from you! Thanks for reading my blog today, friends. Love to all!

  1. These are fabulous things to be thankful for! I was so thankful to spend a fun afternoon getting lunch with my younger two boys and my mom yesterday knowing it will be our last one for quite some time. Your dinner(s) sound delicious!

    1. Thanks, friend! I know you loved getting to have that lunch this week, especially with your mom's upcoming move. I'm glad you were able to take advantage of the time you have left with her being so close to you. I know you'll miss her, but hopefully you'll be able to visit her often!

  2. Wonderful! I'm thankful for the energy to do my job and to get back into the routine. As hard as 5 day weeks are, it's important to teach my students my routine.

How lovely to have your son and his friends over for dinner. It is nice to cook for people. Family time is so special and it looks like you have had lots.
