Happy Monday, friends! How was your weekend? I'm linking up with Holly and Sarah for today's blog post.
It was a fun Friday!
It was so hard to take anyone seriously on this day! Please note my friend's amazing bird costume. We were having a serious conversation, and I literally couldn't stop smiling/laughing. She was burning up in that thing! I was ready to change at the end of the day, so I did that before I went to Chris' after work.
I've mentioned it several times, but I love driving a back road in the country! The drive to his town is beautiful, and I love how the road is windy. It's extra beautiful because of the leaves changing. I met him at our favorite Mexican restaurant, and then we went to his house to let his dogs out before leaving again. I started feeling bad again shortly after eating, so we cut the night short on my account. This made me sad, but it couldn't be helped.
I love a new month, friends! And I love these baby Goldens; they were relaxing with me while I sat in the recliner in an empty room upstairs. Chris came over that afternoon; we went to The Orpheum theater downtown to see The Notebook. It was so good!
We barely managed to get a decent picture of us; there were several fails, but this one was the best of our attempts. He's so tall that I can't ever get a picture at a good angle! It works best if he'd stand behind me. I don't know that Chris loved this play, but I loved it so much more than I thought I would! I cried, and I honestly think I caught him wiping a tear at one point as well.
Sunday was a day full of church and church-related activities. I had to be there by eight that morning for praise team rehearsal, then I went home for a bit for lunch, only to be back by two for a four hour long Christmas music practice. It was a great rehearsal, and Joshua had snacks for us, which was really considerate. He let us go at 5:30, so I grabbed dinner for Jonah and me, then we ate together. Marilyn ended up stopping by for a bit, then I worked on my blog for the week and tried to get a head start. I have a busy week of decorating my house for Christmas after work this week! I'm also getting a new bed for my bedroom (thanks to my Mar!), and I have choir practice as well again on Wednesday.
What did you do that you loved this weekend? I'd love to hear from you! Thanks for reading my blog today, friends. Love to all!
Jenn

Hope you are feeling better my friend! I would so love that play! I wonder if it will come to our area. That pumpkin sweater is adorable- don't blame you at all :)
ReplyDeleteBy Saturday it had passed, so I'm good now, thankfully! I hope it comes to your area; it was so, so good. I was amazed at how moving it was and how they handled the present and past versions of Allie and Noah. Thanks, friend! Happy Monday!
DeleteIt looks like a really nice weekend minus you not feeling great. I'm glad you enjoyed the play- the theater looks really pretty! Those are a lot of snacks- I'm sure this time is almost crunch time for Christmas related performances due to how soon (relatively) events will begin. I love that you're singing in the choir again :). Have a great Monday!
ReplyDeleteThankfully I woke up better on Saturday. Isn't it beautiful inside the theater? It's so old, and I love the ornate details of its interior. I'm so glad to be singing in a choir again!
DeleteSounds like a great weekend! and that drive is so pretty. But y'all have a lot of pretty roads like that, from my memory :) Hope you're feeling better this week :)
ReplyDeleteIt was! You're right, we do have lots of beautiful roads like this one. Thank you! I hope you have a great week as well, my friend. I am looking forward to our "thankful moments" at school all month long during our class greeting each day.
DeleteWhat a full weekend! I bet The Notebook was so good and good for Chris for going! I bet he secretly loved it. Lol.
ReplyDeleteIt was, and so much fun. I loved it way more than I thought I would, honestly. I asked him afterward what he thought of it, and his words were, "It wasn't terrible." 🤣 He got major brownie points for even going with me in the first place. I love it when a man is willing to do things like this...and he was happy seeing me be in my happy place.
DeleteIt does look like a fun Friday! I love the little witches hats. hehehe
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful road, especially with the leaves changing.
Aww! The doggies are adorable and the Notebook sounds great!
Have fun with the decorating for Christmas and a great week!
I love your sweater. I'm going to leave fall up for a while longer. I'm not hosting Thanksgiving but will probably work on Christmas that weekend. My girls are going to split most of my Snow Village and use in their own houses this year. I just don't have a great place to display it in this house so when they're both here we'll sort through all that. I'm happy they can use it and I'll still get to see it. Enjoy your week Jenn!
