Happy bonus blog post day! I'm linking up with Kym once again for a Wednesday quote writing prompt on sunrises. Happy reading!
If you've been around here for any length of time, you know how much I love new beginnings. The sunrise each morning reminds me of that. There's a passage in Lamentations 3 that reminds me of this; I'll write it out below.
Because of the LORD's faithful love we do not perish, for His mercies never end, they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness! I say, "The LORD is my portion, therefore I will put my hope in Him."
Because of this passage, sunrises have always seemed hopeful to me. The sun always rises the next day, no matter what the darkness of night held; no matter how bad things seem at the moment, joy comes in the morning and beauty arises from amidst the piles of ash.
Every sunrise is a quiet reminder that God is faithful. With the sunrise comes the promise and hope of a new day with fresh light, new mercies, and another chance to begin once again. The sun doesn't rush; it simply rises, filling the world with hope, one ray at a time.
How do you feel about a sunrise? I love both a sunrise and a sunset, and some of these pictures are actually of a sunset. I've noticed sunrises often seem more pink than sunsets; have you ever noticed that?
Thanks for reading my bonus post today, friends. The Wednesday hodgepodge post is right under this one. I'll see you back here tomorrow! Love to all.
Jen
