Happy Tuesday, friends! I'm talking about more things I'm saying yes to this week. I'm also linking up with Amy for the weekly Fashion Files and Joanne for Tuesday Talk. I'll jump right in!
These were my outfits from last week; there were some casual days at work for one reason or another, and then I wore more fall like outfits. I went out Thursday night and wore the yellow dress.
And now for the second part of the post...here are a few random thoughts I've had lately.
I love Colorado; I could live here. We were talking about the price of houses yesterday as we drove down the mountain to Castle Rock. Mike and Debi are the most hospitable people I've ever met and said if I ever do that, that I could live in their basement for a while until I figure out where I'd want to land. I don't know that I could ever leave my kids, but it's fun to dream, right?
I'm ready to start venturing out again in the dating world. People have thoughts about this, but I don't want really want to hear them. I have to do what feels right for me, and what I think is best. I think it can be another part of the healing journey.
Being with my sisters is like literal food for my soul. There's nothing else that feeds me like time with them, and I am beyond grateful for every second of time we have together!
I want a new purse. I don't know what I want yet, but stay tuned! On the same note, I also want some new sneakers. That's a need, though, not a want.
Alright, well...thanks for reading my blog, friends. See you back here tomorrow for the hodgepodge! Love to all.
Jen

My 2 cents - Everyone should decide for themselves what feels right and timely. I wish you all the best. Things will turn out well, you'll see.
ReplyDeleteI love this. Thank you for saying what I needed to hear!
DeleteIt is really kind of your sister and husband to tell you that you could live in their basement if you needed a landing place. It would be hard to leave your boys. Maybe they could come, too, eventually? (I know they have jobs and lives where they are but if you could move at some point, they could, too.) I hope you continue to have a good time with family in the beautiful state of Colorado!
ReplyDeleteI doubt I'll ever leave my sons, honestly...but I will say that I have seriously thought about a big move over the last two years. I'm not saying no to anything at this point in time and am open minded to new things. My whole life is a new thing right now, so why not? Thank you!
DeleteI keep reminding my husband that our kids are moving on and we should too! I realize you don’t have anyone to do this “with” but, although I love having my family fairly close, some are moving on and do they really expect us just to “stay put” and not move forward too?? Just a thought….
DeleteThat is so sweet of your sister to offer; I know living with my brother for those few short months while he got back on his feet was great for our relationship. Not that we had problems before but it definitely brought us closer together.
ReplyDeleteWe've talked about it so much since I've been here. I love that it made you closer to your brother while that happened!
DeleteAlways love your random thoughts and I am saying "you go girl!" at my computer screen this morning- ha ha! Excited to read :) Can't wait to read more about your trip!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all of this, friend! Stay tuned!
DeleteI agree with anonymous. Everyone has opinions and sometimes it's hard to tune them out, but you need to do what's right for you. If your dream is to one day be married again then of course you need to date. It would be hard to leave your boys for sure, but maybe the change would be good? Something to ponder and pray about for sure. Glad you're having some good sister time.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right. It's hard to tune out, and I've learned since being divorced, that everyone has thoughts and opinions of what my life should look like. One of these days I might say something to them that I'll regret. Ha! I know the intentions are good, but....I know you get what I'm saying. Thanks, friend!
DeleteWith your job, you could experiment by living there for a month or so in the summer?
ReplyDeleteI want a new purse, too! I can't get dark green woven leather off my brain, but I can't find anything I like! I want it to be bigger and able to be a shoulder bag, I think. There is nothing like being with sisters and you have 3!
This is true! I actually got a cute little purse here yesterday...I'll show it off soon. It's unexpected, but it's a pretty green color! There is NOTHING like sisters!
DeleteI love what you have been wearing.
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to dream and think about what could be. It sounds like you really do love Colorado.
You have to do what's right for you when it comes to dating. Wishing you all the best.
Thank you! It IS nice to dream and think of what could be, right? I really do love it here. I appreciate your encouragement, friend!
DeleteColorado really is so beautiful. I don't think I could handle the winters though. I'm glad you're having a good visit with your sisters.
ReplyDeleteIt is! I wouldn't mind them. The snow here is so different that what we get back home; they get snow, not ice like we do. I have actually driven in it here before when I house sat here one time. Thanks, friend!
DeleteIt looks like you are having a GREAT trip :) I commented above, too….life is to be LIVED, right! CO might just be a vacation destination or maybe there is more out there for you….one day at a time - enjoy the rest of your week!
