Friday Favorites, 1.19.2024.

Happy Friday, friends! I'm linking up with Andrea and Erika for today's favorite blog post of the week. How's your week been? Mine has been really good; it was the perfect combination of productive and lazy with all the snow we had.

And on that note...

The snow has been my favorite! Well, it started out as my favorite, but I'm over it now and would like for it to melt. 🤣 That first picture above is one that someone shared on a Facebook page that I am on. Isn't it beautiful? I have to say, there is nothing quite as beautiful as a sunrise and sunset against the backdrop of snow. It has shut down all of the schools and a lot of places of business this week; we never get snow this good! People have been cross country skiing on major city streets, I keep seeing ATVs going down our street, and people are sledding anywhere they can find a hill in our town. I love seeing all of these pictures!

Each week at work after staff meeting, we sign and send out these cards to people in the church that we prayed for during the meeting. I usually don't go to the meetings since it's not a requirement for me, and because they take place on Mondays, the only day I have to myself each week. That being said, I have only signed these one other time, but I did it again yesterday, and it was one of my favorite things. I think this is one of the sweetest things that I've seen from a church, and it is so special to be on the receiving end of one of these cards!

This was a favorite view this week while I waited at work for Todd to come pick me up. It's always wonderful seeing the sunshine after a week of snow/rain/dreary days.

I wore one of my favorite sweaters to church on Sunday. I love this baby blue color, and I love the softness of this sweater that I bought last year at Marshall's.

This cozy/comfortable outfit was my favorite at work this week! And so are these new tennis shoes that I bought at Rack Room last week. I was hesitant to dress like this for work on Wednesday, so imagine my surprise when I got there and everyone had on sweatshirts with jeans/athletic pants and tennis shoes! I laughed to myself over this, because the snow was our excuse. Another favorite from a cold work day was that the church treated the staff to lunch! I thought that was really sweet, and it was fun sitting in there with everyone.

Hot chocolate has been my favorite hot drink this week, and so has this mug that my sister bought me several years ago.

This is my favorite makeup routine! I had two days in a row that I stayed home, so these were the only products that I used on my face on Monday and Tuesday.

Our new coffee pot is my favorite! It makes a k-cup, a full pot of coffee, and iced coffee! We bought this at Costco last Sunday before the snow started.

I saw this on Instagram this week, and it was kind of my favorite thing! Have you seen this?

Did you catch my other blog posts this week? I'll link them below.

  3. Freshly fallen snow is so pretty and we did, indeed, get ours overnight. No school- yah! Your pictures depict how pretty your snowfall was. How nice that the church provided lunch for the staff. I can see how a week of much more relaxation at home was a good thing. That is pretty much how my week was. Glad that everyone is staying safe and sound. Have a great weekend!

  4. Your shoes! I was between the black (that I ended up with) and gold! You know my love of gold! Aren't they so comfortable? I think you can totally wear them to work. I just don't care anymore because my feet and legs hurt at school on the hard floors when I wear non-supportive shoes.
I bet you are over the snow! We got fluffy snow overnight that is still coming down so I am getting to watch it even though it's still dark and we have our third E learning day of the week and it's Friday. Both kids are home since last night and I couldn't be more happy and thankful! I'm gonna make them chocolate chip pancakes today!

  8. Holly, we are loving the coffee pot! It's the Ninja brand, which we're already familiar with because we have their blender. That's funny about your hubby, and I can relate! 🤣 I love the Friends apartment, 2024 style!

  9. Maria, yay for snow days for you! I was so excited to get this, especially once I saw how beautiful it was. It was definitely the good kind of snow to get! I hope you enjoy your days at home, my friend!

  10. Amy, I love them! I hope they become more comfortable as I wear them...I wasn't too impressed Wednesday when I wore them. It's fine for me to wear the shoes for work, I was more or less talking about my sweatshirt. It honestly doesn't matter, though...it's just me being weird. Sometimes I have a hard time being casual in a work environment. I have no idea why; it's just me. I'm so glad you're getting to see snow today and that your people are all home, safe and sound. I don't blame you one bit, and would do the same thing! Girl, I am loving the new coffee pot. It's the Ninja brand!

  11. Andrea, I have loved it this week! I am getting a bit stir crazy, though...it won't melt fast enough! 🤣 Isn't that Friends modern day apartment adorable? I loved seeing that this week. I've been rewatching the show for months now!

  12. Cute blue sweater and I really like your comfy outfit too. I really like that cup too. I'm currently drinking a cup of hot chocolate in a mug that says "Liquid Patience". Fortunately, things are quiet and peaceful here this morning and so far extra patience hasn't been needed. We woke up to snow and I'm loving watching out the patio door as I sitting her on my computer. I hope you have a really good day.

  13. I love snowy house pictures! What a nice break you were able to go into work. Those notes are so kind that y'all write! I'm ready for it to all melt too, at least on the streets. I only put on a little make up one day, so that has been nice for my skin I think. That last Friends picture is so funny!! Thanks for the smile and have a good Friday!

  14. Love that blue sweater! You look so pretty in that photo! Here's to hoping a lot (if not all) of your snow melts this weekend! I was hoping the same for here but, as I type, it is snowing. Oh well.....I'll have another hot drink in a cute mug!:)

  18. Thank you, Cathy! I love the saying on your cup. I need that sometimes! I love to look out and see the snow as well...and a sun rising or setting with that beautiful white background. I am sure you feel the same!

  23. Joanne, do you get tired of the snow? I think I would if I had it all the time. I feel like my family in Denver does get tired of it as well. I am with you on the hot cocoa...I did switch over to coffee last night. I need to lay off some of the calories I've been consuming. 🤣

how to be a woman of God who walks with integrity (according to Psalm 26)

Happy Saturday and bonus blog post day, friends! I was inspired to write this as a result of my quiet time on Friday morning. Psalm 26 was...
