Happy Tuesday, friends! I'm linking up with Amy for the weekly Fashion Files. I started documenting what I wore to work again last week so that I would have something to share here today. I'm trying to get back into my everyday, normal habits.
First up, please note the picture at the top of this post! Did you know that OPI has come out with a new line of old polishes? It's called Every Month is Oktoberfest, and it's a collection of favorites from the vault of colors they have that are older. It's hard to believe that one particular color (Oktoberfest) first came out in 2012. It's been a favorite of mine just about ever since! Other fall favorites are Black Cherry Chutney, My Private Jet, Russian Navy, Less is Norse, and Vampsterdam.
Onto my outfits from last week...
It was so hot here last week! I wore the gauze dresses all week long, except for Thursday, when rain was predicted. I didn't want my legs to get wet if it rained during my afternoon dismissal, so I wore leggings, a button down, and sneakers; I sweat half to death in this all day long! I will still be living in dresses until the air is breathable once again. I wore a denim dress to church on Sunday, but I didn't take a picture since I was running late to church.
What have you worn lately? I'm not doing any shopping anytime soon, but I'm excited to start wearing clothes that are more fall like soon. I remember not really getting to do much of that until October of last year, because September is still pretty warm here for us. This is when I think it'd be nice to live in a different part of the country. Ha! I forgot to mention this in yesterday's post, but it's time for the August edition of Share 4 Somethings this week! I hope your weather turns soon! The gauze dresses look perfect for a hot summer day. You don't have to go out for recess, do you? Just the car line at the end of the day? The end of the school day is likely the hottest part of the day...
ReplyDeleteMe too! They really are perfect for a hot summer day. I don't have to go outside until the end of day for dismissal, which is when I get SOOO hot. It always takes my face half an hour to return to a normal shade of skin. I get so red when I get hot!
DeleteThat dress is so good. Rinse. Repeat. You needed easy last week. Oh my gosh - the thought of leggings touching and attaching to my skin in humidity is just horrible. Lol. It's hard to know how to dress in the rain.

OPI is just the best with their colors and names and you took me down memory lane. I have used all those colors. Black Cherry Chutney struck me as one I liked. Oh, I love a dark polish.
I did! The leggings were a terrible decision that day. I won't make that mistake again! Thanks for inspiring me to keep going and doing normal things! You're a big influence in my life, my friend, and I'm grateful for you. I love all those older OPI colors! I may go get a pedicure this weekend.

DeleteAnd I'm over here debating about packing away my shorts.. and am rather sad about it. LOL. Your outfits are cute but I do hate those days when the outfit I picked doesn't work well with our weather.

DeleteThose gauze dresses are perfect for weather days like you've been faced with lately! I love all the colors! I agree, dresses and skirts/skorts are my salvation on hot summer days! Hopefully, you won't have to pair leggings with a sticky humid afternoon again! I'll be on the lookout for those OPI colors, too! So fun!

DeleteI wish I could paint my fingernails, but they just peel if I do (the nail, not the polish). You look so pretty in those gauze dresses. I love that style on others, but it just doesn't work for me. I'm trying not to shop as I have too many clothes as it is. Thanks for joining us on Fashion Files.
