Happy Tuesday, friends! As I sat down to write this post, I was blown away by the ending of yet another month of 2025. I know that we all say this often, but can you believe how quickly time flies by? It seems like just yesterday it was December of 2024, and I both looked forward and dreaded the coming year. I looked forward to it because I was ready to be divorced and to fully separate my life from my ex. I was dreading it because I wasn't sure what that time period would look like; I'd thought I would be moving and I was dreading have to be on my own financially.
But you know what? I'm killing this whole single woman gig. I don't want to brag, but I don't need a man to help me with things. I'm enjoying learning new things and I'm proud of myself for not having to ask for help too often. Just yesterday I went to Auto Zone to purchase my first ever pair of windshield wipers; the person who checked me out taught me how to put them on myself for future reference. See what I mean? What I need help with, I can easily ask the Google or the YouTube.
Also? Stay tuned for more exciting updates.
Here are my favorite moments from a very full and busy month:

P.s. Don't forget about April's Share 4 Somethings will take place this Saturday April 26th; if you're new here, all year long on the last Saturday of each month, we share some things we loved, some things we learned, some things that went well, and some things we let go of. The topics stay the same for each month. May's Currently link party will take place on Wednesday May 7th; in May we'll be talking about what we're currently loving, looking forward to, leaving behind, letting go of, and looking at. Again, for anyone new here who wants to participate, the topics for Currently change each month; I provide the next month's prompts at the bottom of that post, and this always takes place on the first Wednesday of every month. I hope you make plans now to join me for both of these each month! Meanwhile, I'll try to be better at giving you reminders.

Read my hosting blog today! Ha! I think you will be so happy to host more - in all iterations of hosting. I love the colorful dress that you got to wear a couple of times this month. It's so hard to believe we are at the end of April and there is more fun to come!
ReplyDeleteThis is funny that we always seem to at least touch on similar topics on any given day. Great minds think alike, and all that! Thanks for the dress love; it's such a fun one to wear. I had it last year, but I like it a lot more right now than I did then, plus it fits better since I've lost weight. Isn't it crazy to think how fast April has gone by?! And it's not even over yet!
DeleteGreat pictures from your month! I love how you are embracing this new season of your life. You are surrounded by people who love you and it shows :). Can't wait to see you soon and have my own picture taken with you!!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'm literally loving my new life so much more than I had thought would be possible. I am surrounded by amazing family and friends; I am so grateful for each and every one of them! I can't wait for that, too! Three more sleeps!
DeleteI love seeing all the fun in April and I am so thankful I stopped by last week! What a treat! Looking forward to more fun things this month and so thankful for you! Great job on moving forward in 2025!
ReplyDeleteI love that you're always such a huge part of each week. I'm so thankful for this, and for the fact that the Lord led you to come see me unexpectedly on Thursday. He directs every step we take!
DeleteSo happy you're surrounded by so many people who love and support you in this transition. You had a full month and looks like you made the most of it. I am with you on how fast this year is going. Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteThank you! These people - family and friends - have been the biggest blessing in my life. I don't like to think of who I would be without them. Isn't it crazy how quickly the time goes by?!
DeleteYou are doing great as a single lady, you should be proud of yourself!
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely moments from your month, such happy memories! Marilyn sounds like such an amazing friend, always there when you need her the most!
Oh wow! Your church is huge and so modern looking too.
Thank you for the kind words, my friend! I need all of the encouragement I can get. Marilyn is incredible; we are so fortunate to have each other! It's a very large church; I love it here, because there is always something going on. I love that; it's great to see life in a large building, you know? I love that we use it for our community.
DeleteThis month absolutely flew by, and I'm summarizing my month on Friday's blog post. Then I'm going to take a 2 week blog break! I loved seeing all the family and friend pictures, and your big, beautiful smile. Can't wait to see you soon.
ReplyDeleteIt did fly by! This will always blow my mind. Good for you for taking that two week blog break! That is so good for us from time to time; sometimes I feel like I need to do that to recharge my batteries and to gain new inspiration. Thank you for your sweet words, my friend. I get to see you and hug you tomorrow! I cannot wait.
DeleteYes Yes to the months just flying by! How? How is it almost May when Christmas was yesterday? I must tell you I am so happy for and proud of you, my friend. You have walked through some darkness and have come out the other side stronger and so very happy. Love your loves and all the rest!
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way! How is this even possible? Thank you for your encouragement, my friend. I appreciate that much more than words can express here. Each day is a new opportunity to do better, to learn from past mistakes, and to remember that God has a bright future in store for me, no matter what that looks like. Happy almost weekend to you!
DeleteOh gosh yes, thank goodness for Google and YouTube when learning how to do something! I rely on them both SO much. But yep, the months are really flying by at warp speed.
ReplyDeleteYes a thousand times! Google has helped me pick out windshield wiper blades, fix my garbage disposal, open a five gallon bucket of paint, and several other big things. I'm so thankful for the fact that it's an option for us to use! I get to see you tomorrow! Be prepared for a big hug!
