Happy Friday, friends! I hope you've had a great week. I'll be so glad it's Friday when this post hits. I don't plan on wishing away my life, I promise, but I say that because I know I'll be tired. I anticipate sleeping in on Saturday this weekend, but on Sunday I'll have to be at church early for...praise team practice! I'm not complaining, because I've missed being on the praise team at church. I can't wait to be able to sing again!
Speaking of that, here are some more moments from the week that were favorites.
I'm not necessarily looking for love, but this was a favorite thing I saw on socials this week. It's true! I do all of these things, and I appreciate life. How fortunate are we to be able to encourage each other and pray for one another? I was part of a Wednesday morning prayer time at work; it's called Legacy on the Loop, and we spent some time being encouraged and praying for the school year with other teachers, assistants, and all of the administrative staff. What a blessing this is! I love my job, friends.
Getting dressed is still my favorite! Here are my outfits from this week, starting with Sunday. I'll share more about why I wore what I did under the pictures, but most of these were for work.
I had a date on Sunday; this is one of the new rompers I ordered recently from Amazon. I'll keep this one, but I got this one with fall in mind...I think it'll be cuter with my white sneakers, a jean jacket, and a hat. The date went well! He has young kids, though...I'm not sure I can do that. I'm not opposed to being friends, though!
And Wednesday I wore this red romper while I had the chance to wear shorts one last time without students in the building.
This was a favorite, because I had another date this week, on Tuesday. (I told you I wanted to keep dating, but with a shift in perspective.) The date was the best I've had to date, and he made me laugh from start to finish. I appreciate someone who can do that to me; at one point, I almost spewed my drink out of my mouth, he was that funny. We have plans again Friday night since Mare is busy.
Thursday was favorite outfit...I didn't anticipate liking this dress with sneakers, but I did.
I bought three hats that are this style this week! I want to start wearing them more, but how cute is this one? We are the Collierville Dragons as a whole district, but my school's mascot is the Eagle. I anticipate going to some football games this fall and will wear this hat when I go. The other hats are pink (that says Dolly on the front), and olive green (that says sunkissed).
Since I'm talking about dogs, I might as well mention Crash too. I love him being here with me again!
I'll wrap this post up with these last two pictures; the Hershey candy bar was from my friend (the principal), and the flowers are from my co-worker Carla. I work with the sweetest people ever! A standout favorite from the week is that; everyone treats me so kindly. It really is the very best work environment!
Jenn ❤️
Hey Jenn! You look great in all of these pictures. The summer has been kind to you and I love your hair!! And even though you said "don't pry" on another post...now you've got me so curious!! Please be careful out in the dating world. I can't imagine...Have a wonderful weekend and be safe!
ReplyDeleteGood morning! Thank you for that, sweet friend. I know what I said on the other post...I'll share it with you on an IG message instead. It's crazy out there in the dating world! I always share my location with several people; two of my friends were stalking me while I was out last night! It's definitely not for the faint of heart. I hope you have a great day and weekend!
DeleteI can feel how tired you are coming from the screen..
ReplyDeleteOk, the dating...I thought you were taking a break? You are just too magnetic! You get asked out so much!
I hope you have a good day today and that your Saturday is super relaxing!
I'm tired! I am looking forward to this weekend and sleeping in. 🤣 I said I didn't want a relationship, but I didn't anticipate being asked out a couple times. I'm going out because if I didn't, I'd probably give it all up together, and I don't want to do that. So I'm dating and not looking for a relationship just yet. I'm honestly shocked that I've been asked out so much! I didn't anticipate that happening. I hope you enjoy your weekend!
DeleteThat sounds like a fabulous week! I love the outfits and it really does seem like you work with some super sweet people.
ReplyDeleteIt has been! Thanks, friend. I feel so fortunate to work where I do! I love the people I work with!
DeleteThe school is so lucky to have you and I think it sounds like the perfect job for you where you can touch so many lives and be energized by great students and faculty- can't wait to follow along! Love all of your outfits too :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, friend! It is such a great opportunity for me, one that I'm really excited about still. I appreciate your kind words of encouragement!
DeleteIt looks like a good first week of school! Good luck with the date tonight :).
ReplyDeleteThanks, friend! We didn't do anything; I made plans with my sister and he ended up being at home sick all night. I hope you have a great weekend!
DeleteI am so glad you have had such a nice welcome back at the school!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I can't wait to meet you for lunch today.
DeleteChocolate and flowers are a good way to start a new job. What kind of power did this guy have over you? Sounds like something from the Investigation Discovery network, hope you were able to escape OK.
ReplyDeleteRight?! You can't go wrong with either. It was more like a mind game that he played on me; he is very manipulative and charming. He was using me to get back at his ex, at least that's what I think. I'm glad to be free! He doesn't care about me, he got what he wanted when I helped him with his ex, and I know he'll never reach out to me again. Some men are jerks that don't deserve any credit!
DeleteI'm so glad to hear you're enjoying your new job!!! Yay!! Sounds like you work with some great peeps. Have a great weekend; I hope it's relaxing and fun!! And have lots of fun on your date!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, friend! It's been such a great week, and I'm thankful to have a great job with people I love. I hope you enjoy your weekend!
DeleteI hope you manage to sleep until late tomorrow and how great you can join in with the praise team at church again.
ReplyDeleteI love all of your outfits. You look fab and I agree, Thursday was my favourite of the week too!
It sounds like you had a fantastic week and how lovely to be working with such kind people.
I was able to sleep late! I slept until seven fifteen; it's much better than the five thirty wake up call I've had everyday for two weeks. It's an adjustment, getting used to my new schedule, but I'm managing pretty well! Thanks for your kind words, my friend!
DeleteHow awesome to have such a supportive work group! I love all your outfits and am glad you had some fun this week too. Now to sleep in on Saturday!
ReplyDeleteI know! How fortunate am I to be able to say that? Thank you for that, friend! I actually managed to sleep in until seven fifteen! Woohoo!
DeleteI have been missing in action. Are you teaching now? What happened to the bookstore?
ReplyDeleteHello again! I ended my job in the bookstore in June, took July off to travel and prepare, and started work for the second time at a local elementary school as a special education teacher's assistant. I did this same thing two years ago for one semester, so it's great to be back "Home" at my new home away from home.
