Happy Friday, friends! This has been a week; I don't know how a week can feel so long and be the same five days as every other week. Maybe it's the memories of the last year that did it to me this week? I have some dates that have snuck up on me that might have been the cause for some of the things I've felt this week. Who knows? All that to say, I'm so glad it's Friday! I'm in need of the weekend. In the meantime, here are some of my favorites from this week.
They're all out of order, but here are my outfits from the week; getting dressed is one of my favorite parts of everyday! I pulled out some jeans and the wide-legged pants this week since our weather has been cooler; it's hotter again now, so it was fun while it lasted! I started with the khaki ones right above these words and my black CWES shirt; last Friday was spirit day. My Queen tee and leggings was Saturday; the pink pants were Monday, jeans and the mocha colored shirt were Tuesday, the black dress was Wednesday, and the new Halara jeans and red and white striped button down was yesterday for patriot day, since it was 9/11.
Country drives will always be my favorite!
I follow all these relationship accounts on social media; these are some that made me stop for a minute this week. That first one is my favorite, though! Please forgive the bleeped out curse word, but it made me laugh ridiculously hard when I saw it on Instagram.
Sweet happenings in room 304 are my favorite! These are the third graders that come to us, minus the one who sits at my table. We separate them based on what they need; the one at my table needs more help with math, but these pictured need reading lessons, which is way more difficult to teach. I'm so glad I get to be an assistant at my job, and that I get to do the easier things. It makes sense, right? That isn't what happened when I worked at this school two years ago; I was thrown into doing something I didn't know how to do, and I had anxiety attacks a lot of mornings before I went to work. In second grade, I work with two very different students while Karen works with the other six. Second grade is a lot. 🤣
I sent this one to Karen on Tuesday, when they all walked out and our heads were spinning. She's like me and loves pickles, and we were both officially over the day at that point. We look at each other a lot and start laughing almost uncontrollably.
Well, we have both had a week for different reasons and I didn't realize this was the anniversary of your filing. You've come so far in that time. It seems like your relationship with Chris is healthy and moving at a nice pace.
ReplyDeleteI love your patriot day outfit the most then the pants that are the same in pink and tan/olive. Those are so cool!
I'm glad you have someone who you can work well with and that they are using you in more appropriate ways this time. You will get better and better and you bring so much to the table with your homeschooling background.
I hope your weekend fills your cup and that you had a cleansing of sorts this week.
Gosh, you are right about that! It's so good to feel all of the feelings, though, even when they are painful in the moment. I remember my counselor telling me that, to feel the emotions and to name it, as in me remembering that the one year date was yesterday. She also said to try to not sit there for too long, but to feel it and then to start naming good things in my life. I would turn those things into a prayer of thanksgiving to God, for who He is and how far He had brought me. Thank you for that; I do feel like I've come a long, long way since one year ago.
DeleteThings feel healthy with Chris! Much more so than anyone else I've dated in the last months...and I appreciate that he is always seeking out times for us to be together. As it is, we usually make it happen two times a week, sometimes three. I don't want to give up my friend times, so I still have lots of time for them.
Thanks for the outfit love! Those wide legged pants are my favorites. I also appreciate how much more competent I feel at my job because of my co-workers. I've already learned so much from them! I hope all the same things for you, my friend. Happy Friday! xoxo
I am sorry to hear that you've had a rough week so far.
ReplyDeleteHopefully your weekend will be a good one with lots of small highlights and loved ones by your side.
It wasn't all bad, but thank you! It's just that the moments that were hard just about took me down. I'm grateful for friends who let me talk and this space here that feels like an escape. I hope the same for you with your weekend!
DeleteThank you!
DeleteYou are so lucky to have a sister like you do! What a blessing! I know the divorce was hard, but you have proven to yourself that you can do hard things. Cheers to all the happy days ahead!

ReplyDeleteI love all of your cute outfits; I really love the red and white stripe top! Your first meme made my laugh out loud too; isn't that true for sooooo many of us. I'm so sorry to hear about the days coming around, but you're so blessed to have those good friends and a sister to help you through them. I 100% support the therapy bonfire sesh; great idea!!
