Happy Friday, friends! I'm so glad it's this day of the week; Mama's tired, except that it's not Mama, it's Ms. Loyal (as most of my students call me) who's beat. I'm going to jump right in with my favorites from the week. Buckle up!
It's my favorite thing in the world to be like this in public. It's his favorite, too; if I'm in front, he's holding onto me. This feels so good after months of very little affection in my life.
These were my favorite November related things I saw on socials this week. It definitely does not snow where I live in November, though!
This was my favorite night last weekend; I went to The Orpheum to see The Notebook with Chris, then later on he asked if we could make us "official". Of course I said yes to that.
Dressing for church/work each day is still a favorite! Do you have a favorite outfit from my week?
One thing we do at the school I work it is hand out these Eagle Bucks to each other; it's usually over something worth recognizing. My sweet friend Rachel gave me this a few weeks ago, and I just found it in my box at work this week. How sweet is she? The bucks can be collected and spent on something, but I can't remember exactly what can be "bought".
These little Boo Bites have been a favorite snack at work this week!
Have you ever participated in #onedayhh with Laura Tremaine on Instagram? This is always one of my favorite days of the year on social media; I plan on sharing a bunch of stories that day on Instagram and then I'll probably turn it into a blog post at some point.
My sweet little first grade friend's hair was my favorite this week! Look at all the tiny little butterflies in her hair.
Cleerly Stated on Instagram is one of my favorite follows; I love what she said there this week, about gratitude.
Monday night at Marilyn's was my favorite! We haven't taken a picture together in a while and were overdue.
I have free time built into all of my mornings at work; my favorite way to spend it is to do this. Sometimes I read the Bible when I'm at work, other times I listen in the mornings. I also write something everyday in my journal!
I bought a new coffee table last week! It's my newest favorite thing in my living room, and I love decorating its surface.
What was something that was a favorite from your week? I'd love to hear from you! Thanks for reading my blog today, friends. I hope you have a great weekend! I'll see you back here on Monday. Love to all!
Jenn
Great pictures from your week! Your living room is so pretty with its decorations :). Congrats on going steady with your sweet guy!! I hope the relationship continues to bloom and ends up wherever God ordains it to go. Speaking of God, I loved reading those words about gratitude and God still being good in the hard. That's cool that you get a break in your day. In our district, the educational assistants only get a break for 1/2 an hour for lunch. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThank you, friend! I hope for that, too. It's so true about how good God always is, because that is all He can be. I always say that His goodness is never circumstantial, it just is. I do love that I get a break like that in my day; it may not always be there for this year, but I'll enjoy while I'm able! I do only get 30 minutes for lunch, and I'm usually inhaling my food everyday before second grade comes in for class. It goes by fast! I hope you have a great one, too!
DeleteSounds like your weekend is going to start out "right" later today :). Love your warm and cozy living room with the Christmas lights on - I'm still enjoying my fall decorations. Your Gratitude clip was a perfect "first thing" for me to read today - thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteIt will, for sure! Thank you for that! I loved my fall decorations too, but I was ready to switch them out for Christmas. Jonah was too! He's my son that lives with me still. I hope you have a great weekend, my friend!
DeleteAwww I love that you are official- so so sweet! Your Christmas decor in your living room is giving me all of the feels! So much to be grateful for my friend XO
ReplyDeleteThank you! I thought it was sweet, too. I love my Christmas decor! It makes me so happy to walk in and see the lights and the cozy elements for my favorite time of year. I really savor having it all up for extra time!
DeleteFacebook official! I was wondering if you were going to show us your Christmas decor. All the holidays are colliding - boo bites and Christmas and Thanksgiving! Ha! I am picturing you taking that picture while holding onto Chris while walking - lol.
ReplyDeleteAll the holidays are colliding, you're right! Ha! I was trying to be sneaky about taking this picture and also trying not to trip as I looked at my phone. 🤣
DeleteCongratulations on being "FB Official" :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! Life will never cease to stop being strange at how mine has turned out. I'm trying to embrace all the change, though, and to be grateful in all circumstances. I'm thankful to have a companion; his presence in my life is definitely filling a void I felt for too long.
DeleteOMG I love to follow cleerely stated too and I LOVED that same post! so much so that I wrote it word word for word in my "Joy" journal! I have a journal that is specifically for all the things every day I'm either grateful for or that brings me joy. My favorite line in that post on gratitude was "because praise in the valley always echoes louder in heaven" Have a great weekend Jen!
