Happy Friday, friends! I hope you've had a great week. Mine has been really good for the most part, and it went by pretty quickly. I feel like the month is flying by, and it is, right? March is just right there to touch, almost. It's birthday season for my sons beginning in March! I have some favorites from this week, so I will jump right in.
When I went to work Tuesday morning, the fog was so thick that you couldn't even see the school just across the street! I stopped to take this so I could send it to Marilyn. Did you know that she and I talk every single morning before I go to work? That's one of my favorite things about our friendship. This is one of my favorite things about our friendship, and it's been a huge blessing to me since I've started working full time again.
I ordered pizza from my favorite place on Tuesday night; this Elvis statue always cracks me up and makes me think of Marilyn.
Seeing one of my favorite families on earth Saturday was a treat! I haven't seen these kiddos and their precious parents in ages. Fun fact: Abbey and I have been posing like this for pictures for twelve years.
I love looking back through old pictures.
- week night dates with Chris
- Ted Lasso
- laughing with co-workers and trying to avoid drama
- early morning phone calls and texts
- journaling
- Bible reading/listening each day (even when I'm in Leviticus)
- seeing or talking to my sons
- avoiding looking at who's watching me on social media (you'd be surprised)
- late night talks with Jonah

LOVE your friendship with Marilyn- a true gift for sure! Love how comfortable Chris looks around your friends and family- lucky gal AND he is very lucky too :)
ReplyDeleteIt is! I'm so thankful for her. And he is pretty comfortable around everyone at this point!
DeleteLeviticus can readily test one's resolve to read the Bible through! Your pictures from the week are great. We had terrible fog on Monday. It lasted a good part of the day which was odd. School drama is real- I'm on the periphery since I'm not there every day and am not on staff but I pick up on a decent bit; I can only imagine what it's like for those there five days a week... Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteRight? I think so too. And so much of it is gross that it's hard to stomach in the mornings. School drama is so real! I just keep trying to tuck my head down and stay out of everything. I don't mind being a friend and good listener, but none of that is for me! I know you feel the same. Thanks, friend! I hope you have a great one as well!
DeleteWe had that fog, too! I drove to the gym at 6 am and it was eerie. I couldn't believe it was still foggy when EO and I walked a few hours later. I think the teacher workday Monday makes the week feel so long! Ha! People are starting to itch for Spring Break! Happy Friday and I hope you have fun weekend plans with all your people! We need to talk again soon!
ReplyDeleteIt's strange how it was everywhere! It really was eerie. I think you're right, even if it was a good day. I totally get that statement, and it's true! I know I am. Happy Friday! We do need a catch up sesh.
DeleteWhat a great way to start your day, talking with your lovely friend Marilyn. Have a wonderful weekend, Jenn :)
ReplyDeleteIt really is the best start to the day! I hope you have a great weekend too, my friend.
DeleteThat is so lovely that you and Marilyn talk each morning before work and what lovely photos of Abbey and her family! It sounds like you had a great week with lots of happy moments!
ReplyDeleteThanks, friend! I think so too. It was a good week. I hope you enjoy your weekend!
DeleteLove the photos of your week. That fog - yikes! Do you know where you got the green button up top - it looks like something I'd like. :) TGIF
ReplyDeleteThanks, friend! Isn't that fog intense? I've not seen it that bad in a long time. I got it a little over three years ago from Old Navy; it's a linen blend and very oversized, so maybe see if you can do a search for something similar? I hope that helps!
DeleteEnjoy all the happy things on your post/list today! Coming by your blog always brings a smile! Hopoe you have a good weekend ahead as well!
ReplyDeleteThanks, friend! I hope you have a great weekend, my friend.
DeleteWe had lots of fog this week too and couldn't see the house across the lake... but that means it was warmer so I'll take it!
ReplyDeleteIt's always so eerie when it looks like that! I totally get that. I'm ready for Spring!
DeleteHear to add that school drama is real! Ugh. Also, I love Ted Lasso! My favourite moment of the week was showering at home again after six looooong weeks! Whooo hooo!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd by "hear" I mean "here." Ugh (again).
DeleteIt really is! I love Ted Lasso; I'm almost to the end. I know that felt amazing!
DeleteThat made me laugh. I wish there was an edit button!
DeleteLove our morning calls as well! Happy Friday friend and I need to go to that Lost Pizza!
ReplyDeleteI love you, friend! You have got to try Lost Pizza. It's my favorite!
DeleteJenny Curtis: I'm being nosey...Does your fella have any kids or grandkids? I enjoy your blog!
ReplyDeleteHey Jenny! Thanks for telling me who you were. You can be nosey anytime! He does not have kids; he was married and was a stepdad to her kids, but never had any of his own. He's such a great friend to all my sons, though! He would be fun to share grandkids with someday. Thank you for that!
DeleteLooks like such a fabulous week! I love PD days as well and getting to go out for lunch or just having more time, in general, to eat. I hope you've had a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteIt was a good week! That definitely makes those days fun. I love being out with friends for lunch! Thanks, I hope you have too!
