Friday Favorites, 5.15.2026.

Happy Friday, friends! Today is my last day with students at school; that is surreal to me. Next week I will be there all week, but I will be packing up several rooms and sorting through paperwork for my co-workers. How has your week been? Mine went by super fast...and I have some favorites from the week. Buckle up!

This was a favorite post from Instagram this week; it's true!

Monday night's dinner was my favorite! Chris and I bought some steak tips from a place called Sprouts last weekend; we cooked that and added rice and sauteed green beans. It was delicious and took about fifteen minutes from start to finish.

Has there been a more true statement? I think not. Accounts like this that I follow on socials are my favorite!

Reading is my favorite at the moment! I can't wait for summer reading! I found this book inspiration while scrolling this week.

Favorite new coffee mug! This was a mother's day gift.

The verse pictured above is one of my favorites! I needed to see this yesterday.

This sweet little kindergarten program yesterday was my favorite! Seriously, y'all, I cried. They sang a sweet song from The Greatest Showman that just about did me in.

Getting dressed will always be my favorite. I went super casual most of the week because of field day and because I had to cover kindergarten and first grade classes.

These were the little kindergarten kiddos I sat with on Wednesday.

This is a favorite sight to me! My little first graders walking down the hall catching up is the sweetest thing ever.

I'm leaving you with one of my favorite sayings of all time; I found this on a coaster last year in Louisville, Kentucky...I'd love to frame this and hang it somewhere in my home.

It's your turn! What was a favorite of yours from the week? I'd love to hear from you! Thanks for reading my blog today, friends. Love to all!

    1. Thanks, friend! I can't wait to read that one. I started listening to one by her, but I can't remember which one it was. I can't listen to it, though, I need to read it with my own eyes. I can't wait to do more of that by a pool! I hope you have a great weekend, too!

  2. I cannot believe it; today will be bittersweet! It's such an accomplishment, though, to cross that finish line. So much of our week is mental. It sounds like you were in a good mental head space. I hope that each and every day you had something to romanticize. Those bowl meals are so good and easy. I am a fan of making a sauce or finding a sauce and putting in on a rice combo.

    1. I know! I will still be there next week and will see them all in passing, but it'll be different. I anticipate crying over the fifth grade, though...I did that the last time I was there three years ago. Their program is Tuesday, and so is the goodbye to my friend and principal as she wraps up her last school year. Ugh! Goodbyes are tough. I think a lot of the week is mental as well; some days it felt like I was in a god head space, others not so much. But still, I made it and here I am. I will definitely need to do some more bowls like this one! It was so delicious and easy!

  8. I know what you mean about tearing up when you saw the kids singing. I do that too whenever I see children or even teens singing or performing. So many memories! I can't believe the school year is coming to an end! We have Sprouts here, and it is a nice small size grocery store. Hope you have a good weekend.
