Friday Favorites [7.24.2026]

Happy Friday, friends! I hope all of you had a great week; I want to hear about it at the end of this post, so stay tuned. Here are some favorite things and moments from this week...

Home improvement projects are my favorite (here's a link)! On Sunday after church, Chris removed the carpet runner from this staircase; at one point in time, the carpet runner was beautiful. After years and years of wear and tear from kids and the dogs, it was more than time for a change. Just for reference, here's a picture of what it looked like years ago before all the wear and tear.

I love how it looks now so much more! It's more modern and clean, and the stairs have all been repainted, thanks to my guy.

The case of my new deodorant might just be my newest favorite thing! I ordered this deodorant last week and have been wearing it exclusively since then to test it and share it with you. I love it as much as I'd hoped; I love that it's natural, aluminum free, and that it works so well on me. (I am hot 100% of the time.) I ordered this from a link on Instagram, thanks to Candance Cameron Bure. You can purchase a different case, but you only have to have one and you can buy the refills.

This new candle warmer lamp is my favorite! I ordered it from Amazon last weekend; if you're interested in it for yourself or as a gift, here's a link

Chloe on the freshly made bed might not be my favorite thing, but her cuteness and sweet spirit are.

Have I ever shown you the guest bedroom? I love the space; the comforter that used to be in there was better, but Jonah took it and traded it for this one that he'd had on his bed. I just added my new bedroom lamps to this room last weekend when I rearranged mine. I'm hanging onto this favorite gold mirror that my sister Lisa gave to me twenty years ago; I will hang it somewhere one of these days.

A sweet friend gave me a really thoughtful gift this week; it's my favorite when people are like that!

The couch is Rocket's favorite new spot, and it's mine seeing him there looking so handsome.

This graphic from Instagram this week was one of my favorites!

My bright colored coffee and water cups are my favorite

It's not my favorite when I spent two days making sourdough bread only to have it not turn out right when it's finally done. I'm rolling my eyes at this, trust me.

It was a favorite to take lunch to Chris one day this week; I love seeing him at his place of employment.

This is my current favorite brand of gum! My co-workers from Summer Learning Camp gave me this in a goodie bag on the last day of SLC.

Meeting new friends is my favorite! These are ladies from my new church; we met at a friend's house for brunch on Wednesday.

One of my favorite things about Chris is that he builds and races motorcycles; it's also a favorite to represent him by a bumper sticker on my car.

These new Mixtiles photos are my favorite! They were easy to hang, and I love how they look on my bedroom wall. Next up for my room: removal of these wood blinds, and curtains hung!

What's something that was a favorite from your week? I'd love to hear from you! Thanks for reading my blog today, friends. I'll see you back here tomorrow for the July edition of Share 4 Somethings. Love to all!

    1. Oh really? It was new to me, but I decided to give it a try. I'd like to start using more clean products, and I'm starting with one thing at a time.

    2. I think Cath Kitson is a British designer; the packaging is so pretty! I want to try it!

  2. Love your new bedroom space! We removed our blinds from most of our windows several years ago and it has made such a difference in the light we get in those rooms now. I was at HomeGoods last night and there were so many curtains. I wish I could buy - and I only say “wish“ because I don’t need any but they are an easy change/upgrade to a room. Have a great weekend!

    1. Thank you! I totally get how the light is better without blinds. I think there's a purpose for them, but it's more clean and modern looking without them. I hope you have a great weekend as well!

  3. I keep seeing that deodorant on social media being sponsored by celebs. Glad to know it really works.

    1. Oh really? That's interesting. I do really like it, though! You can also pick your scent, but it's not very strong smelling.

    1. Thanks, me too! I do feel like I did so many things, both home wise and by meeting friends and having appointments. I will keep the summer spirit going, or at least I'll try!

  6. Your stairs look fantastic and I have heard good things about that Wild deodorant, I am sure it was created here in the UK. Chloe is just adorable.
Oh no! Sorry your sourdough didn't work out. I keep thinking about giving it a try but never get around to it.

    1. Thank you! That's cool about the Wild deodorant being made in the UK. I actually think that it may not be Chloe, but Stella, but they're both so adorable!

  7. That photo collage is fabulous! The stair redo looks great. I've been wanting to repaint all the risers on our stairs but I keep putting that project off...

  8. Cath Kidston was my FAVORITE when I was in England. Love all the floral patterns!

  9. I know I am very late in commenting, but I love all these favorites! Those mixtiles are perfect. I feel the same way about sourdough- no way can I spend so much time on it and then have it flop! But you seem to be way more successful at sourdough than I am!
