Happy Friday, friends! I hope your week was good; mine went by really fast. I have some favorites from the week that I thought I'd share today!
It felt so good to meet Kendra on Wednesday night at Rotolo's again this week! We both ordered calzones and shared some wine. It was delicious; there was music in the background, but I loved that he wasn't as loud as some of the others. We were still able to carry on a conversation while the music played, but we also sang along some! He was great.
Rocket loves being here; this makes me really happy! Even though he can be naughty and his hair shedding is terrible, I really do love him. He is a husky, which means that he "talks" to me; he doesn't bark, but he is very vocal. He always greets me when I come home or when I talk to him, and it's the cutest thing I've ever seen. He loves to share the couch with me and often ends up encroaching my personal space. Ha!
Cooking with Jonah is a favorite! How appropriate is his shirt?! This young man has become quite the chef in the last year, and I'm so proud of him!
I loved having time at work to meal plan and make a grocery order at work this week! My student is independent a lot in the mornings, and while she's working, I have time to do this. I usually journal
I didn't make it to church on Sunday; this was me listening online at home.
Wednesday night at Rotolo's was a favorite for me!
What was a favorite for you this week? I'd love to hear from you! Thanks for reading my blog today, friends. Have a good weekend; I'll see you back here Monday!
Jen
It sounds like a good week! There's a local place here that I like to support but when they have live music it is impossible to carry on a conversation. I met a friend there once and it was awkward and uncomfortable to try to yell the important things that were going on in our lives (we were catching up with each other)... How nice to have a cook at home :). Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteIt's been a good week! I totally get that frustration and don't love having to yell to speak, but the musician there this week was very subdued. He was more in the background, and we were able to talk normally. I loved that...and to top it off, he was good. We sang along at some points! It's SO nice having a cook at home! I hope you enjoy your day off and the weekend, my friend. xoxo
DeleteWhat a great week Jen- glad you have such great balance in your life- hope you enjoy the weekend XO
ReplyDeleteThank you! It was a great week. I hope you do the same!
DeleteI like when the music isn't too loud to enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteEddie Otis and I have a neighbor husky and it sounds like she says "Woo woo" when she greets us and it makes me laugh every time. She loves to get a treat from me!
I do too! I was glad that he was more subdued than what is usually there on Wednesday nights. I love that you have a neighbor husky! I bet it does make you laugh; Rocket always makes me laugh, too. It sounds like he's talking to me!
DeleteHi Jen,
ReplyDeleteRocket is cute. Is he one of your sons' dogs? I just recall the girls, Stella and Chloe. (I am a dog mom of two, which probably explains my interest :)
Hello! Yes, Rocket belongs to Noah. Noah lived in Dallas for two years, but moved back home in April. He's a sweetheart of a dog, though he does have naughty tendencies. Ha!
DeleteSweet :)
DeleteThat sounds like a lovely week. I enjoy live music when we go out too but I do find in sometimes it is just too loud.
ReplyDeleteIt really was! I know...I love it, but it's hard to talk when it's going on. This week was perfect!
DeleteIt sounds like a wonderful evening with Kendra and Rocket sure is a cutie even if he can be naughty.
ReplyDeleteThat salmon looks so good and well done Jonah with the cooking!
Thanks, friend! He is such a cutie...it's a good thing, right? Ha!
DeleteWednesday night dinners sound so fun, especially because I think you said the food is discounted. My kids both probably enjoy cooking more than I do now! Hope you have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteYes! I couldn't eat that cheap at home, so it really is a good deal. Plus it's just fun, which is a bonus. I love that! I feel like mine are the same way. Thanks, friend! I hope you do as well!
DeleteI will join y'all at Rotolos when it is cooler on the patio :).
ReplyDeletePlease do! I can't wait for the cooler weather.
