Share 4 Somethings, September 2026

Happy Tuesday, friends! Thanks for being here today to talk about something you loved, something that sustained you, something you're carrying forward from this month to the next, and something you're making space for. I'll jump right in!

Something I loved this month...

Celebrating these girls birthdays...

re-watching and watching the old and new versions of Practical Magic...

...late season days of swimming...

...darker nail polish...

...and goat yoga at school!

Something that sustained me...

...morning quiet time and the word of God and reminders just like this, that nothing can ever separate me from the love of God.

Something I'm carrying forward from this month to next is the reminder to keep going, keep breathing, keep living, keep trying. Not everyday is perfect or even good, but there's always the promise of tomorrow.

Something I'm making space for is the continued balance of work, home, and fun. I like to stay a little bit busy, but I'm also okay with being home on some nights as well. For instance, last night I was at home, and tonight I'll be at a concert with a friend from work. Life is all about balance, and I like how all of my people intersect with events in mine.

I can't wait to read your posts! Again...I'm so sorry that I forgot about this over the weekend. We will keep doing this on the last Saturday of each month, today is just a one time thing. Love to all!

  1. Balance is key! Right now, my preference is to be IN when I'm done with school but I'm not always in for the rest of the day/evening and that is ok, too. Great pictures from your month- you had fun birthday celebrations during the month! I like your commitment to/ habit of writing out scripture.

    1. Balance IS key! I get that a thousand percent. Thanks, friend! It was a good month, better than I expected it to be. I love writing out Scripture! It's so good for us to copy it out, because it helps us to be able to remember it more than if we were just reading it, you know? I've done this for so long!

  3. What lovely photos with all your friends. It looks like you have been having a lot of fun! The dark blue nail polish is so pretty and I love the sound of the goat yoga!
Balance in your life is so important! I am working on it here but when life gets busy it gets hard.

  4. I'm so glad you're doing well and enjoying your fall :) we kept goats for awhile and your picture made me miss our little guys! They are stubborn but they sure are cute! I'm thankful for your reminders of balance- if I stay home too much I'm stir crazy but if I don't stay home enough I'm tired so you're absolutely right, its ALL about balance! Have a great October :) still praying for you friend!

  5. Little by little - it's good sometimes to just look no more than 10 mins ahead, a morning ahead, the next day...it can really make you enjoy the smaller things and have more energy.
Like your little heart tattoo too! Sweet!

  6. This is good for all of us to carry forward: "Something I'm carrying forward from this month to next is the reminder to keep going, keep breathing, keep living, keep trying." Life can be crazy sometimes, but we can keep traveling through it anyway. Thanks, Jen.

  7. "Not everyday is perfect or even good, but there's always the promise of tomorrow." I'm so thankful this is true! And that you were able to enjoy celebrations with friends and as well as quiet moments with God last month. So appreciate your linkup even though I haven't participated much this year!

I love your "carrying forward" - that sounds like wisdom for all of us to keep carrying with us through life.
Yes, I finally found a little bit of time to catch up on comments! My schedule will be crazy for all of this month too, but I'm doing my best. Hope everything is going well for you!
