Friday Favorites, 2.16.24.

Happy Friday, friends! I'm linking up with Andrea and Erika for today's favorite blog post of the week. How was your week? Mine was really good, and I hope you can say the same! I have some favorites from this week, so I will jump right in.

This book is a favorite that I borrowed from the Library last week! I love to sit at the table and flip through the pages. I love to decorate and am fascinated by how people go about that in their own homes, so this book is a perfect fit for me. Do you ever think to borrow books like this from your Library?

Sitting down after a day of work feels so luxurious! I don't sit much while I'm there, so my legs, feet, and back are always tired when I get home. I come in and greet the dogs, let them play outside for a bit if the weather is nice, then I change and get comfy for the evening if it's a night I'm home.

This pitcher has been a favorite at work all week! I've been filling it up with ice water for anyone who wants some. I bought this at Home Goods last week, because I needed a pretty (acrylic) pitcher.

Sitting with Todd on Sundays in the video room is always a favorite!

And so is this view,

and the people you see pictured on that couch.

Please note Noah's mischievous smile and eyebrows. 🤣

This was my favorite shirt to wear this week!

And Let's Be Friends by OPI is one of my favorite nail colors.

This candy hearts framed art was a favorite on the days leading up to Valentine's.

But now that the day has passed, this vintage flowers is a favorite.

Did you know that Costco has a four pack of this brand of hand soaps? They do. The pretty bottles are my favorite, and the scent is light.

I shared about this journal yesterday in my Thankful Thursday blog post; it's become a favorite part of my mornings!

It felt amazing outside this week! I went outside with the dogs one day after work to let them play and snapped this as I was coming inside. I wore my favorite cardigan to work on Wednesday with a white t-shirt and black pants, and it was my favorite outfit this week.

Someone I love bought me my favorite candy from Dinstuhl's for Valentine's day! The chocolates you see are called Figaro, and they're the perfect blend of milk and dark chocolate. It gets better as you let it sit in your mouth!

Oakley's sleeping position yesterday morning was my favorite.

And so is this picture of a beautiful school we have in Memphis, Rhodes College. I love a historical building, and this one has several. Isn't it stunning?

Did you catch all of my blog posts this week? There were several, along with two bonus posts! I'll link them here below.

Monday was Hello Monday, and How I Met My Husband.

On Tuesday I talked about neighbors, a funeral, a mercy meal, and good friends

Wednesday was Valentine's day, so I shared some things I love, and I participated in the Let's Look link-up.

Thursday was Thankful Thursday

Tell me something great about your week! I'd love to hear from you. Thanks for reading my blog, friends! Love to all.

  1. That chocolate looks good- we have two local brands that make wonderful chocolate. I hope you had a good Valentine´s Day. It looks like you were dressed for it, your TV was dressed for it, your nails, etc. We had nice weather as well this week though I´m sure it was not as warm as yours. Now we have a winter weather advisory and a 100% chance of snow in the next 24 hours, though truth be told, I am looking forward to it!

  2. That building looks like something in England!
I am so glad you had a better week. We have a winter weather advisory this evening! Don't they know we need those on a school night? Ha! I am wondering if TJ Maxx has spring blouses out yet because last year I found some of my faves ever there. I might do that and I have some exciting requests to pick up from the library - oh and I have hair day! I did the most fun, light, kind of fluorescent green mani last night. It's kinda jumping the gun for spring a bit, but I'm loving it. I will show it in my Monday post.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend filled with the things you love.

  3. Your nails always looks so pretty - and I love that color, too! Sitting down at the end of the day does feel so good - and once I sit down at night, that’s my signal to my brain and my family that I’m “off duty” until bedtime! Well, as off duty as I can be with a toddler in the house…

  6. Maria, I love local candy shops. I've had some of the best chocolate at places just like the one we have here! The candy is divine, and so are my other favorites, coconut cups. I would be okay if we had another cold weather front and front move in before spring comes, but I'm not sure it'll happen for us. Or it may come in March just in time for spring break, as it goes some years! I was all ready for V day; for someone who doesn't love that holiday, I definitely went all out this year and it made me happy. Sometimes I don't know who I'm becoming! 🤣🤣

  7. Amy, isn't it beautiful? I thought the same; it looks very old world and European. I wish I could tour the campus, but I am pretty sure they keep the gates locked. I'll have to find out, because I would love to walk around there! That's a beautiful area in our city, and there are lots of old mansions around the school. I love doing things like that! I may check out Marshall's or TJ Maxx this weekend in our area. I am in the mood for something springy! I feel like now is good time for that. Yay for fun things like green nails and hair days!

  8. Thank you, Megan! I enjoy treating myself with getting them done each month. I totally get what you said about sitting down and being off duty after dinner. My people know there are certain things I DO NOT DO after dinner: cleaning the kitchen for a second time, laundry, any other house hold chore. I'll do it if it's a necessity of course, but I am done after dinner every night. It's my time to sit and read/watch a show and unwind.

  9. Holly, right? I loved it all this month! Maybe I do like this day now after all. 🤣 I think I just keep finding myself looking for more things that bring a smile to my face. Life is hard and our home is my sanctuary. Thanks for that, friend! I hope you enjoy your weekend!

  10. Thanks, Andrea! I do love some hearts and flowers. I'm still kind of going back and forth between the two. There are so many to choose from on YouTube! I can't wait to share this with my dad today when he comes over. I know he will love it! I hope you have a great weekend, my friend!

  11. Love that pitcher! I never would have know it was acrylic unless you said something. I also love those costco soaps. I love it even more when they clearence them out to make way for the next "season" I recently bought 2 4 packs of the "Christmas" scents for $4 a pack! That's $1 per soap!
    Have a great weekend!

  12. Thanks, Kirsten! It does look real, which was what drew me to it in the first place. That is good to know about the soaps when they mark them down! I'll watch for that, thanks for the tip!

  15. That campus is so pretty. It's hard to believe its in America, not Europe. The pitcher of water is such a nice idea. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

  16. Tanya, that's what I thought too! I've never thought to go tour the campus before, but now that I'm sharing about it here I want to do that. Thanks for that, my friend! I hope you enjoy your weekend!

how to be a woman of God who walks with integrity (according to Psalm 26)

Happy Saturday and bonus blog post day, friends! I was inspired to write this as a result of my quiet time on Friday morning. Psalm 26 was...
