Happy Friday, friends! I hope you've had a great week! This week felt weird with Monday being a holiday; all day long on Monday, I kept thinking it was Sunday. Here are some of my favorite things from this week.
These memes were my favorite this week on social media. That one about the ambulance, though...it's so true! I shared both of these this week on IG, because I knew my people would appreciate the truth behind the words. 🤣
He made this delicious meal for us, and we ate it twice that day! 🤣 Have I mentioned how nice it is that he cooks? This is the second weekend in a row that he's cooked for me. Other than eating, he worked on his truck for about a half hour while I kept him company and scrolled reels on IG, and then we sat and watched season 2 of White Lotus. It was a great way to spend a lazy, rainy holiday. I might have fallen asleep a couple of times while we watched together.
My flower beds are my favorite right now! I love it when the azaleas bloom like this.
It's always a favorite when my Pastor comes in and tells me to get some notes from his sermon on Wednesday night, because he thinks I would benefit from what he taught on. And he was right! I always appreciate his kindness and encouragement. It's thinking of times like this that I get sad about leaving here. I know I'll be around all the time, but it'll also be different, you know? This has been the sweetest little job for me for the last two years, and I'm grateful that God gave it to me when He did.
Lastly, Thursday nights volunteering with Graham will always be a favorite of mine! I met him at his house, and then he drove us downtown. I have to wear my hair up when I do this, so while me in a ponytail isn't my favorite, it's a necessity. I'm also glad that for this, because I was burning up when we left!
Just a reminder that I have a couple of link parties coming up this week; tomorrow is the May edition of Share 4 Somethings (some things we loved, some things we learned, some things that went well, and some things we let go of this month), and this Wednesday is the Currently link up (currently loving, doing outside, cooking/grilling, excited about, and wearing). I hope you make plans to join us!
What was a favorite of yours from this week? I'd love to hear from you! Thanks for reading my blog today, friends. I'll see you back here tomorrow for Share 4 Somethings. Love to all!
Jenn ❤️
What a great week - you are blessed to have a gentleman friend and a bestie like Marilyn- love following along! Have a wonderful weekend- "see" you tomorrow :)
ReplyDeleteIt was! I feel fortunate to be able to say that I have those two things you mentioned in my life right now. I hope you have a great weekend!
DeleteEverything that Holly said :). I'm sorry that you are experiencing that pain again. I know you mentioned it on the blog when it happened the first time but when I heard you describe it in person, I realized how traumatic and painful it truly was. It sounds like you've found relief, thankfully!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'm glad it wasn't nearly as bad as it was in December; this is why I'm being proactive about seeing my friend every couple of weeks. It already feels so much better than it did! I'm grateful for this. I hope you have a fabulous weekend!
DeleteI used to exceed the speed limit occasionally, had to stop after a couple of run-ins with the state patrol and insurance increases.
ReplyDeleteYikes! I would stop then as well; until then, I am careful and use the Waze app all the time. It tells me when a police officer is near.
DeleteSpeeding isn’t being careful. I’m in Australia , in a state that sees way too many road deaths due to speeding. If it’s a little or a lot over, it’s still speeding. That’s my rant over. Enjoy your weekend. Rita
DeleteSo many good things sprinkled in this week! You know I love a road trip and that is always a yes from me! I am also up for a Sonic drink, which means another stop somewhere along the way :). Jonah is such a sweet son, as they all are. Looking forward to a good weekend friend!
ReplyDeleteYes! I will take the good sprinkled in with the not-so-good anytime. I'm grateful for all the memories we make together, and all the moments of hysterical laughter. Thanks for loving my boys! I'm looking forward to seeing you!
DeleteYou're living your best traveling life right now - love it for you!
ReplyDeleteLoving your glasses! You always get the best pairs!
Thank you! It feels good to be able to do this. I'm so grateful!
DeleteWhat a great week! Happiness looks great on you! I've enjoyed the short week so much-especially since I took off Tuesday as well for a "me" day! I went to the spa, watched some Netflix and took myself to lunch! I plan to start doing this every 3 months! Highly recommend! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThat definitely sounds like the perfect road trip buddy! I'm always so thankful when we travel with my mother in law because she needs to stop often and then I'm not the only one asking for the nearest bathroom (where I then buy drinks and snacks at the stop and need another one shortly after-- it's a vicious cycle). And absolutely to both those memes!! I love your Wednesday outfit. I've been wearing my leggings so much this month.
ReplyDeleteI love those meme's! That is so awesome that you and Graham volunteer together. And sometimes a ponytail is just necessary. There are so many times I start out with my hair down, and then get hot and up it goes! Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteYour cheery, summery nail color is a favorite! I could not get into season 1 of White Lotus but maybe I should give it another try? Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteWe have had a couple of Mondays during May being a holiday and they have knocked me off track with the bonus Sunday.
ReplyDeleteYou and Marilyn have great fun travelling together.
That drink sounds delicious and those memes made me chuckle. How lovely to have J cooking for you.
It sounds and looks like such a lovely week!
