Friday Favorites, 2.6.2026.

Happy Friday, friends! I've been off work for so long, that I can barely keep track of what day it is. So many people are calling this Snowmageddon event, "Winter Break 2.0". I think that's accurate! In spite of not doing a lot outside of my home the last twelve or so days, I have a list of favorites that I thought I'd share with you today. I'm starting with my home, which is my favorite place to be!

Valentine's day decor is among my favorite decor! I love hearts, and I love the colors. I have thoroughly enjoyed my home being decorated for this day. I spent a good portion of yesterday cleaning and reorganizing the desk you see pictured. I do this periodically! This time I got rid of some books; I'm not quite finished and want to redo the top as well, but that's for another day.

Speaking of decorating my home, when I asked Chat GPT how I should decorate mine based on what she knows about me, this was what she said. Isn't this fascinating?

Favorite outfits from the week, all leggings and tops! Lounge clothes are my favorite clothes.

A bookstack from my favorite place is the best!

The Faith Filled Therapist is one of my favorite follows on Instagram.

I don't really buy books these days, but when you hear about another one by your favorite author, you buy it and wait anxiously for its arrival.

Laughing is my favorite; both of these made me do that.

This is my new favorite mug! My dear friend Abbey gave it to me a few weeks ago; I love to eat ice cream from it instead of using it for coffee.

This day of quiet time was my favorite; I read Exodus 14 on this day, the chapter that has the verse that says the Lord fights for you, and you just have to be quiet. I needed that reminder on this particular day; the whole day was a chain of events that was almost unbelievable, but in a really good way. Maybe someday I'll share it, but that's for a later time.

What was a favorite of yours from the week? I'd love to hear from you! Thanks for reading my blog today, friends. Love to all!

  1. That was an interesting answer from ChatGPT. I haven't thought to use it for that purpose - I may try as I'm lacking inspiration for my mantle. I loved your fireplace picture anchored by the dogs. And you can tell from the pics you shared that you love books :). I can't believe how long so many counties in TN have been out of school - even here in East TN where we got barely ANYTHING we have been slow to send the kids and teachers back. My daughter in Clarksville said that they have been out as long as you have (but they did get a little more since they are further north). We need some sunshine to clean everything up!!
Thanks for sharing your V-day house - can't say I've ever really decorated for this holiday, but red and pink are two of my favorite colors :)

    1. I thought it was too! It really is a great tool to use, and the app is free. It also generates fun images for free, but only a few a day. I do LOVE book, and using them to decorate with. The weather truly has been insane. I'm glad to share; I hope it was inspiring!

  2. Lexington, KY has now been out two weeks, too! My district was online on Monday and Wednesday of this week and they went the rest of the week. Last week I think they got back on Thursday and Friday. Wow! So crazy!
I love all your touches in your home. It's so warm and cozy and so YOU! I would love to put a desk in one of our spare rooms when we get them done. I feel like I can't even dust with EO underfoot. I speed clean on the weekends when Tom takes him on a longer walk. Oh well.

    1. I think that's where Jen is located? I know she was out for a long time as well. Thanks for that, friend! I love that it's all me; it makes me so happy. I hope you get to do that with a spare room soon; it's fun to have a space that'll be yours. I love this style of desk with cubbies; it was one we bought from Walmart a long time ago, but it's super sturdy!

  4. Your Valentine's Day decor is so pretty! I love it all but maybe the bows on the mantle most of all :). Those heart memes are so funny! I'll bet deleting "him" was satisfying though also hard and sad in some ways since it was not something a few years ago you would ever think you'd do. Have a great weekend!

    1. Thank you! I love it all, especially the bow garland on my mantel. You are exactly right; it was hard, but it was the best thing to do, unfathomable though it still seems sometimes. I hope you're enjoying your weekend!

  5. Winter Break 2.0 did make me chuckle, it is pretty accurate though.
You have a beautiful home and all the Valentine's Day touches are so pretty. ChatGPT is pretty amazing when it comes to suggesting things like how you should decorate.

  6. All my mugs are ice cream mugs! LOL. I much prefer eating my ice cream out of a mug than a bowl and I don't know why. Your decor is adorable. I used to put lots of heart and flowers and pink stuff up but I just sort of lost momentum over the past few years so after Christmas I just decorate for spring and leave it up until fall!

    1. I love that you only use them for ice cream! Thank you, sweet friend. I just love to decorate; I always have, and I always will. I love making spaces pretty and practical, work-wise, like this desk.

  9. Your home is so beautiful with all the Valentine's Day touches. I ask ChatGPT so many random questions, I think we're besties now. I'll have to ask for some fashion and decor-related inspiration. Have a wonderful weekend, Jenn and keep warm :)

    1. Thank you! I love Chat GPT so much, and never would have thought of asking it certain things if not for a friend telling me. You should ask her these questions! I hope you're enjoying the weekend, my friend!

  11. Hello! Love all the love here, my friend. Your desk area is perfect. And your books? Stacks of books are one of my favorites in the world. I think the memes were hilarious! The one about the therapist! LOVE!!!! I also use Chat for decor advice. I just used it to help with some kitchen decor. I am going to tell Steve I used an interior designer! Then I'm telling him that it was Chat. And it was free! Happy Sunday!
