Happy Friday, friends! I hope you've had a great week! Mine has been really good. I mentioned here Monday that because I'd planned to be traveling that day this week, I had taken the day off. Even though I ended up not being able to go on the trip, I kept that day off. It was glorious! It'll be my last day off before school ends for the semester. It's been a busy week for us at CWES! We're preparing for the big state test that will start next week. I'm so ready for it to be here so we can move on from all the reviewing that we're doing. After the test, it's all downhill from there, and tons of fun is headed our way to usher out the 2025/2026 school year! This year has flown by with lightning speed, as I knew it would.

This was me on July 28, capturing my first day back to work for my memories. Looking back is my favorite! Okay, well...onto my favorites from this week.

Catching up with Mare when she got home Monday night was my favorite! Of course I went straight to her as soon as she got home from the blog trip! We ate dinner and enjoyed catching up and making a game plan for this weekend, when she moves. I'm hers for the weekend!

I preordered this book by Diane Shiffer; do you follow her on Instagram or TikTok? I love her videos and was delighted to hear that she'd written a book of compilations that are similar to the videos she shares. Isn't the cover beautiful? Little details like that are always my favorite.

The kiddos at school this week have been having Glow parties in P.E. God bless the coaches for doing this five days this week! They all dress up in neon, and the music is pumping as they dance and play games with black lights on in the gym. This is to get them pumped up for TCAP next week! Glow parties are their favorite!

Little things like this on IG are always my favorite. I don't know how true this one is for me, but I still liked it enough to save it to my phone and to share here.

Chris sent me these pictures yesterday; this is where we're going next weekend! I can't wait to travel with him. I feel like it might be my new favorite!

This is a terrible picture, but one sweet little (favorite) student brought me this tiny flower yesterday! She made my day.

Looking out the windows and seeing all this green is a favorite right now.

Getting dressed is still a favorite! I am loving dress season right now.

My new favorite thing at home are these curtains and this rug! I love the change that it brought about in my home. I've got some more things on the horizon, so stay tuned!

What was a favorite of yours this week? I'd love to hear from you! Thanks for reading my blog today, friends. Love to all!

  1. I hope testing goes well when your students do that! We've had testing this week and I think everything went well (granted it was easier for me since I didn't actually test anybody!). We have more testing coming up- I guess tis the season. How nice that you'll get to help Marilyn this weekend. I know it will be a lot of work but somehow I think you two will end up laughing a lot and having some fun as well :).

    1. Thank you! I hope it went well for you this week; ours was supposed to have started this week, but because of the fact that our Governor called our state a "national disaster" when all that ice was here, we got it postponed for one week. I think you are right about me and Marilyn! We'll wear ourselves out, but I know we will also have so much fun getting her set up.

  2. That glow week sounds like so much fun! I hope test week goes well. I always felt so bad when I could not answer any questions students had during the state testing week. These poor kids feel so much pressure to do well and yet it really isn't about them at all! Those photos of where you'll be heading with Chris look incredible. I hope you have a fabulous time.

    1. They loved the parties this week! I know what you mean; I always feel bad when I can't help them more than just reading and re-reading on a test. I just always encourage them to try their very best. We've told them a million times how they're all moving onto fourth grade no matter how well or bad they do, which is a true statement. Thanks, sweet friend! I can't wait.

  3. So glad you chose a place with water. I think I would set myself up at the end of that walkway with my chair!
Yay for Monday night and hearing about the trip!
I do follow Diane - so sweet.
Testing, testing, testing. This is the time for comfortable easy clothes.
Sounds like you had a good week!

  6. The glow parties sound like fun. God bless teachers this time of year trying to get to that finish line. I'm so glad you're going to help Marilyn. Moving is rough! Your weekend getaway looks like a lovely spot. Can't go wrong sitting by the water. Have a nice day Jenn!

    1. I think so, too! It was fun seeing them all dressed up each day in their neon clothes. God bless them all! I'm glad to be there for my girl...but it's always more fun with a friend, right? She has a great game plan set in motion for the weekend. I'm excited to help her get set up! You really can't ever go wrong with a water location, right? Thanks for that, Joyce! I hope you enjoy the weekend!
