Happy Monday, friends! I hope you had a great weekend! I can't wait to hear from you at the end of today's post. I'm linking up with Holly and Sarah for today's blog post. I'll jump right in, backing up from Friday.
I stopped to take a picture of my house, because I loved the way it looked when I left Friday. I still love my hot pink door! I'm a little concerned about the bushes you see to the right of my front porch; they might have been buried under the ice for too long. I'm hoping they decide to perk back up!
They dropped me off at my car, and I went shopping at Target for some Easter basket goodies for my sons. This big ole bunny came home with me! I haven't done Easter baskets for my sons in YEARS, because it was would have been frowned upon. This year? I went all out. They each got a t-shirt, an energy drink, a can of Febreeze, some Native body wash, a pack of hot wheels jelly beans, a chocolate bunny, and a package of Reese's eggs. I don't often get to do things like this for them, so I loved doing this!
Look who I ran into coming out of Target! We love being in the same town; this is the second time this has happened to us. She came over for a little while after she picked up her things. I rested a bit before Chris came over, then we left for the Good Friday service. I was so glad to have him back at my house!
We were starving afterward, so we went to our favorite little Asian place and dined outside because the weather was perfect. We ate every big of the two apps and meal we shared! On Saturday we had breakfast at a favorite little spot nearby, then did a couple of things before coming back to my house. It was a rainy day, so we were kind of lazy. We stayed in that night and had leftovers in front of the tv while we watched a movie.
It was a good night. I had to be at church at eight fifteen yesterday morning!
I bought myself a new dress at the cute little boutique with the yellow door you saw pictured above. It's my favorite brand, which is Umgee. We had two services, and I sang in both. We met up with Mom and Bill afterwards for a quick lunch, then came back to my house. He went and ran a couple of errands while I rested, then we left to go to Mom's and Bill's for an early dinner. Here are the rest of the pictures I took that day.
It was a great day and weekend. How was yours? I'd love to hear from you! Thanks for reading my blog today, friends. Love to all!
Jenn

It looks like your Sunday was a great one as well as the weekend! I love the Easter baskets you put together for the boys- such thoughtful and fun things for them. Your time with Chris sounds nice- just enjoying being together and having found things and places in town that you both like. Your Easter pics are so good- you look really pretty and great with your family and Chris. Have a great Monday!
ReplyDeleteIt was a good day! Thanks, friend. It was fun doing that for them! I'm so glad I had him around to do all the things with this weekend! Happy Monday to you!
DeleteYou look beautiful friend for Easter! It was fun seeing you for a bonus visit Friday. The Easter baskets were perfect for your sons and the Hot Wheels jelly beans were a fun touch. See you soon!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I had so much fun putting together these baskets for them. I loved running into you!
DeleteThat sounds like a lovely weekend! Your Easter baskets are so cute.
ReplyDeleteIt really was! Thanks, friend. Just a few days and we get to see each other!
DeleteLooks and sounds like a wonderful Easter weekend! Love love love that dress on you :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, friend!
DeleteObviously, you know what I'm commenting on first! I LOVE YOUR NEW DRESS! Umgee does it again! What a nice weekend! The Easter baskets are so sweet. Isn't stuff so expensive now? I bet they were touched, though. I love that you went out quite a bit this weekend but also had down time at home.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it great?! I love it so much, and I haven't bought a new dress in a while. I wasn't going in to do that, but I loved that I found something new and affordable. Thanks! Yes, the stuff is expensive! They loved their goodies, though. I can't wait until I can do this for all FOUR of them again!
DeleteYour dress is adorable! I love it! And I say you're never too old for an Easter basket : ) I hope they loved them and your thoughtfulness too. We had some rain this weekend, Easter off and on all day, but we needed it so a good thing. Looking forward to seeing you soon!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I would agree with that statement. They loved everything! I can't wait to meet you this weekend!
DeleteSounds like a great, but not hectic, weekend! I will always and forever make Easter baskets for my kiddos…when I gave them to them yesterday, they were very appreciative :) As they get married and have significant others, I still just make one basket per kid/couple which they told me was “cheating” but…what do you do? They do all get their own stockings!
ReplyDeleteI’m glad you got to be in the choir for both services – worship on Easter Sunday is truly one of my absolute favorite parts of the year. We had an amazing service and a good conversation about it over Easter dinner later that afternoon.
How great that you get a four-day weekend! Hope it was restful…you’re on the homestretch here, friend!
It was wonderful! I totally get that sentiment and will do the same. I wish I'd made one for Drew's girlfriend, Mallory, but oh well. I'll get her a "just because" gift at some point in time soon. I love that you do those still! I feel the same. Thanks for that, friend. I always love these services!
DeleteYour home is beautiful and I love your pink door! I hope the bushes perk back up! How lovely to do the Easter baskets for your sons.
ReplyDeleteFab photos! It looks like a fantastic weekend!
Thank you, friend! I hope the bushes come back to life, too!
DeleteKids are never too old for an Easter basket! And I love your new dress. It wasn’t pool weather here so we pivoted and our daughter hosted—fun times!
