simply Tuesday

I love a fresh, new week.  Add to that a new month (practically), and it's even better.  Today I have grand plans of pulling down all my fall decorations out of the attic.  I purchased a few new little felt pumpkins for $1 each this past Saturday, when I went to Target, and saw these in their dollar spot aisle.  I hope to add some candles to my collection sometime soon, too, since I threw all my old ones away after I used them last year.

But more than any of that, I plan on making a good dinner tonight for my family.  My plan is for us all to sit at the table and eat together for the first time in over a week.  Maybe more.  With work schedules, school schedules, and life events, none of us are ever all home at the same time.  Dinner is one of those small moments that feels more like a big moment, after it's over and done with.  Despite the ages of our sons, and what everyone is up to, this is still an important thing for us to do together, at least every once in a while.  I know someday they'll all be moved out of my house, and I'll miss even these days of all the crazy schedules.  I love the thought of offering one night every week to them, for a homemade dinner at home.  I know someone that does that, and we did this, with my mom, for years after I got married and started having kids.

Also on my list of things to do today is going to Kroger for the meat portion of our meals this week, and to get my nails done.  :)  I have no idea if I'll accomplish all of this, but I have today and tomorrow to do it all, so here's to hoping.  I would also like to sit and read more this week, since I only read two books in August.  I'm rolling my eyes at that.  I need to read more and watch tv less.  All weekend was one long movie marathon for me.  Last night's selection was Father of the Bride, parts one and two.

What are your plans for this week?  I'd love to hear!

Well, I need to get moving on this day.  Thanks for reading my blog.  Love to all.
