Happy Friday, friends! How was your week? I hope that you can say it was a great one! Mine was really, really good. I feel like I hit my stride this week at work, and all of a sudden, everything feels routine. I've gotten into a great one as far as my mornings and nights go, along with my lunches that I pack everyday; it feels so good to be able to say that! My week flew by, friends; I feel like this is going to be my new normal. Onto my favorite things from this week!
Darius Rucker was a major favorite of mine from this week! Marilyn and I went to his concert last weekend; it was phenomenal! We both said that we will never not see him again when he comes back into town.
He was adorable to watch, and his moves were pretty good, if I do say so myself.
Chloe is still my favorite cuddle bug. I love it when she sits next to me on the couch. This was me enjoying being at home Monday night; I cooked myself dinner and watched tv that night. I was so tired when I got home that day!
This was the dinner. It was delicious!
I follow Case Kenny on socials; he's written a book about not settling, and I can't wait until it comes out. This image above that he shared this week was my favorite thing that I saw online all week!
I read one of my favorite passages of Scripture this week! This was Lamentations 3.
On a school/work note, this affirmation station is my favorite thing in this classroom! How great is this, that the students can look at themselves in this mirror and know that they are all the things listed and so much more?
Tuesday night was a favorite this week! I had a date with Chris; we met at Memphis Pizza Cafe and had this amazing pizza for dinner.
This ice cream as a treat was a favorite this week!
Writing in my journal has become a favorite part of my morning routine when I have a free 30 minutes each day. There is something so therapeutic about this lovely habit! I didn't realize how much I'd missed doing this until I picked it back up again.
Wednesday night at choir was my favorite! We had our Christmas music preview night, the choir suite was all decked out for the holidays, and there were Christmas games! This was the most fun night.
After choir, I left there and met my friend Kendra at Rotolo's for appetizers and wine. We didn't get a picture together this time, but look how cute this place is! There was live music and half priced bottles of wine; we enjoyed catching up and I'd be okay if we did this every week. It was a fun night!
I loved the cooler weather we had this week; it was a favorite for sure! I enjoyed wearing some jeans and pants, and even a jean jacket. I'm here for fall, friends!
Last, but not least, a favorite was celebrating my sweet Mom for her birthday yesterday. I met them for an early dinner after work. Isn't she beautiful?
What was a favorite of yours from this week? I'd love to hear from you! Thanks for reading my blog today, friends. Love to all!
Jenn
That Rotolo's patio is so cute! I think a lot of places have half price wine on Wednesdays. I think it's a good night to get out of the routine. Maybe Mondays will be your only night at home! Lol! That pizza looks great! But, hold the black olives! I love your outfits this week and I love that you already feel you are in a routine. It happens quickly. I wonder if you will feel how I did about short weeks. With the four day week coming up, let me know if you think short weeks feel long. Maybe it's a mental thing. I hope you have some fab plans this weekend and happy bday to your mom.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that a cute place? I do like that night as a night to get out and be out a little later. Thanks for the outfit love! I remember the short weeks always feeling extra long! I said this to my coworker yesterday. She agreed! It'll be worth it, though. I'm excited for a long weekend. I do have some fun weekend plans! I hope you do as well!
DeleteI'm glad that work is going so well for you! I subbed for half a day and it tired me out (but mostly because I had to wake up earlier than I normally do so I was tired from getting less sleep more than anything). Your food pics all look good! I can see how the Christmas event at Choir would be uplifting and as well as fun. You and your mom are both so beautiful! I hope she had a great birthday!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I certainly understand it being tiring for you. It was such a fun night! I loved being there again this year; I've missed the last two. I keep saying how great it is to be back, and it is! Thank you for that! I think she had a good birthday!
DeleteWhat a great week of favorites! Oh that pizza looks so delish :) So glad you are out and having fun with your people- you are inspiring me to do the same!
ReplyDeleteThank you! It was so good. I'm glad you're out doing the same, friend!
DeleteGirl, you know his moves still get me! What a fun night that was! The dinner you made looks delicious! One of these Wednesdays, I will join y'all. Also, I love that mirror and those statements. Have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteI know! I will always look back on this night and smile remembering how much fun we had. I want you to join us one week! Isn't that sweet? I love that too.
DeleteAw, so many wonderful sweet favorites this week! Your ice cream treat looks yummy. It's always such a relief when a new routine just clicks and finally feels like the routine it's meant to be.
ReplyDeleteThank you! It's been such a great week. I agree wholeheartedly!
DeleteWow, your school outfits are fabulous! I struggle so much dressing for teaching. I kind of have a “uniform” of sorts to the extent that I have the same cardigan in 4 colors and several identical skirts... Just add white sneakers or boots....
ReplyDeleteAnyway, we started school this week, too, and it went pretty well with some hiccups in classroom tech. that are always stressful.
I just have to make jokes about it all for my students to alleviate the tension.. They laughed (thank g-d I'm old but maybe still funny), so I think I’m OK. But it was an exhausting first week, as always!
Glad to hear you’re already feeling the routine; I’m still getting back into it... Going to rest a lot these next few days.
Hope you have a great long weekend!
Thank you for that! I do love the idea of a uniform. I've been paying attention to how the staff dresses, so I'm basically getting inspiration from them. I love being able to do that! I'm glad you're getting adjusted, and hopefully you'll get those hiccups figured out. It's so hard to get into the routine of things! Enjoy every minute of your long weekend, my friend!
DeleteAwwww, happy birthday to your beautiful Momma! I hope she had the best time celebrating with you!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I think she had a great day!
DeleteYou are looking so cute...especially in that pink striped shirt! Sounds like a great week...here's to a fun, long weekend!:)
ReplyDeleteThank you! Isn't that a fun shirt? I loved it when I saw it on Amazon. I hope you have a great weekend!
DeleteIt sounds like you are getting into a great routine with work, and still finding time for fun in the evenings! Love your outfits! Hope you have a good long weekend.
ReplyDeleteI am! It feels great to be able to go out after work each night. Thanks for that, friend! I hope you have a great weekend!
DeleteThat is good that you have got yourself into a good routine for work, it does make things easier.
ReplyDeleteChloe is such a sweetheart and the affirmation station in the classroom is just brilliant!!
Choir sounded so much fun on Wednesday! I love the Christmas theme!
Happy birthday to your mom! She is beautiful, I hope she had a great day!
Thank you! It does make life easier, that's for sure. Isn't she the sweetest? It was a fun week, for sure. I hope you've enjoyed your weekend, my friend!
