Happy Friday, friends! How has your week been? Mine has been really good; it's felt both long and fast. Isn't it strange how that happens? I have lots of favorites from this week, so I'll jump right in.
My favorite young mom (and niece Erika) celebrated her birthday on Sunday! I Facetimed her bright and early that morning and talked to three out of her four girls at the same time. That is always a favorite! Every time we talk, we say that we should talk more, yet somehow we don't. I'd love to do this with her more often!
Sundays with Chris will always be my favorite. I love having him at church with me every week, and I've introduced him to so many people. After church we had lunch at a local restaurant with my Memphis sons; Graham and Drew were at church, and Jonah met us at Booya's. On the flip side of this, goodbyes are not my favorite. I always get so sad when he leaves to go back home after lunch on Sundays.
Taco soup with Marilyn was my favorite on Sunday night! So is the little icon glass that you see.
Monday was my favorite day of the week! I could get used to having Mondays off. I loved this quote that I found above from Martin Luther King, Jr. I talked about this yesterday with some of my fourth grade students about what this means, and how we all need to walk with integrity.
These were my favorite things from socials that I saw this week.
I also love these serums from the Pure brand; the one on the left is one I use in the morning, and the other goes on after I put on moisturizer before I go to bed at night. You should try to find some of these products! I've been shocked at how good they are.
Coming home to a goodie on my front porch yesterday was my favorite. This adorable mug is from my sweet Abbey that I talked about this week!
This is Abbey. I talked about her in two blog posts this week! Speaking of blog posts, here are links to the week's other posts that I've made in case you'd like to read them.
Monday was a weekending post.
Tuesday Talk was my first blog post that day, and an Amazon Prime post was my second.
Wednesday was The Wednesday Hodgepodge.
Thursday was my weekly Thankful Thursday.
I got us our favorite pizza last night; this Elvis always makes me laugh.
These ladies are some of my favorites! We call ourselves The Lunch Bunch.
This is a new favorite song I discovered yesterday. It's by Passion, Melodie Malone, and Jenn Johnson.
I had a little girl tell me how much she loves all my earrings yesterday; they're my favorite, too. I have three on each side, and my cartilage is pierced, too. I just don't keep an earring in that piercing.

Love this post! Your fire looks so cozy and good on you to be doing it yourself! I hate feeling trapped. I can choose to stay home but I don't want to not have the choice. Does that make sense? I hope Chris can hunker down with you. Are you prepared for a dog party? It will be fun!
ReplyDeleteLet's hope it's on the lower side of accumulation of both snow and ice.
Thanks for the Dollar Store tips. I'm off to see if my store has the lip oil right now!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great week!
ReplyDeleteAww! Happy birthday to Erika. It sounds like such a lovely chat with her and a lovely Sunday with Christ and your boys.
ReplyDeleteI would love a proper fireplace, I can almost feel the warmth from here.
That is a fantastic reminder for overthinkers! I need to take note!
That heart shirt is so cute and how sweet to have Chris' sweatshirt.
Thanks, Kim! I love having his sweatshirt. It's my new favorite thing to wear around the house. I hope you have a great weekend!
DeleteOh my gosh..taking the hoodie....precious!! What a great week filled with all of your people- you are blessed. Your winter outfits are adorable and always seem so cheerful you are radiating joy my friend!
ReplyDeleteThanks, friend! I hope you enjoy your weekend!
DeleteSo many favorites today: the overthinker tips, the gals in your lunch bunch all have such kind eyes, and that lantern artwork! Stay warm and safe this weekend — looks like it is going to be mainly ice in Waco— yuk.
ReplyDeleteThanks, friend! The gals in my lunch have kind eyes because they are the literal best coworkers ever. I'm so grateful to work in such a fun environment!
DeleteYour fire looks so nice and cozy! I love those lantern paintings. I've been wanting to get started on a new painting and am just uninspired lately.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Aren't those beautiful? I'll be curious to see what you paint next!
DeleteYou had a week packed with goodness! Stay warm and cozy!
ReplyDeleteI did! Thanks, friend. You too!
DeleteThanks, Amy! I love having a fire in the fireplace and am excited about being at home this weekend. I'm due for a cozy weekend! I definitely hope it's on the lower end of the numbers they're anticipating!
ReplyDeleteWha a fun week! You are a busy lady. Love the heart sweatshirt…so perfect for this time of the year. I hope you all stay safe and warm this weekend.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jen! I do like to stay busy, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I hope the same for you and your family!
DeletePenny- I hope you found what you were looking for!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Marilyn! It was. You're always a huge part!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing how happy you are with Chris. He sounds like such a great guy. Love all your outfits too, especially the red one with the cute hearts. Hope you stay safe and warm!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ruth! He is a sweetheart; I never expected to find someone like him so fast. We're in no hurry, though, and want to take things super slow since we're both still healing from the trauma that our marriages left us with. Thanks for the outfit love! I appreciate that. I hope you enjoy every moment of your weekend before heading back to work on Monday!
