pictures from my phone

I love seeing good stuff in my social media newsfeed, don't you?  There's also a ton of negative junk, but I try to just scroll right on past.  Any time I see an image I love, I save it to my phone.  For a couple of reasons: so that I can be encouraging and so that God may use that to minister to someone who is in need.

Here are some of those images.

One.

This is so true!  Todd tells people, "I can't believe she's put up with me this long!", and I tell people the same exact thing.  Neither of us are perfect, but we love each other and recognize our strengths in one another.  Also, personally, I try to focus on the good, not the bad.  The enemy wants us to dwell in all of our spouse's faults, but I refuse to allow myself to go there.  When I start dwelling on something he's done or said, I pray right then and there for God to change my heart.

Two.

TRUTH.  Our kids are sponges.  When they're little, AND when they're old.  If you gossip in front of your kid, your kid will gossip to someone else.  If you tell crude jokes or speak coarsely, guess what they're going to do?  The same.  As their mom (who seems to never be far off from them), I try to instill in them that they are to speak the truth, but always, always, always in love.  That's a bible verse.  Ephesians 4:15.  (Have I mentioned that I have been "stuck" in Ephesians lately?)

Three.

Kids will never remember things, but they will remember moments.  If you don't believe me, tell me in the comments what you got for Christmas when you were ten or eleven.  I am guessing that not many people will remember the gifts, but the memories that were created.

Four.

Ask me how I know this.  I know this.  TRUST ME.  I have been burned by gossip.  If there is a problem between you and someone you love, talk to them.  Gently, lovingly, kindly.  Speak the truth, but speak it in love.  It seems like I have said that before.

Five.

Ever since the whole Duggar family thing happened, this has really stuck out in my head.  I don't know why we're surprised when someone royally messes up~we're all human!  (I am in no way condoning what Josh Duggar did.)  Jesus is the only perfect One to have ever walked this earth.

Six.

Y'all.  This made me laugh ridiculously hard.  I immediately thought of my sisters, Lisa and Debi.

Seven.

Is this not the sweetest picture you have ever seen?  I follow a mission organization on social media, and that is where I got this from.  I love that sweet little chubby hand, and I love the girl's tattoo.

Well, since this has taken TWO DAYS  to write, I guess I will be done now.  Our internet was out all day yesterday, and it would come back on for a few minutes, then go out again.  You wouldn't believe how clean the downstairs is, and how much I got accomplished yesterday.

Love to all.
