Happy Thursday, friends! I'm here to share another installment of my weekly happies. I'll jump right in!
- weeknight date nights with Chris
- meal prep on Sunday that made the week of dinners easier
- moments that make me laugh
- family dinner night
- a book to read that holds my attention when I'm awake in the middle of the night
- being able to sleep
- encouraging accounts and graphics that I follow on Instagram
- seeing pics of my newest great niece, Ella Blake
- the most thoughtful of friends and the little happies they drop off for me
- spending a few hours in the chair of my son's girlfriend while she colored my hair (giving me the opportunity to get to know here even better)
- getting the things done on my list that I needed to get done
- hanging and loving the newest pictures that I ordered from Mixtiles
- getting to meet and eat brunch with new friends from my new church
- good phone conversations
- catching up with my sons
- the promise of fun plans this weekend
- texting with all my work besties (we call ourselves the OGLB...the original lunch bunch)
About family dinner night...it looked way different this week for the second installment than it did the first week. On the first week, all the guys came with the exception of Graham, who was working. He did come later on, but everyone else had left. This week Graham couldn't come again because of the sheriff's department work that he does, and then Drew texted that he and Mallory wanted to take her little cousin out for dinner. I totally understood all of this, so I regrouped, and then Chris suggested that I invite my parents, sister, and nephew over instead. So I did, and they all came! It was a great night, albeit different. That wasn't a bad thing!

I love the brunch that you went to! I am very curious about the Mixtiles! How cool! Great list of happies for this week. I hope you have an amazing weekend before reporting to duty on Monday! Monday will be fun, though, to see all your gang again!
ReplyDeleteIt was a fun way to spend a Wednesday morning! I love meeting new people, too, and hearing their stories. I hope to enjoy a great weekend before work on Monday! I'm excited to see all of my people, though...and I miss the students. I'll be really glad to see them at orientation next week!

ReplyDeleteIt was a great brunch, and I loved meeting new friends while I was there! I love your happies from the week...especially about your girls and their stories from camp. When our kids are happy, that's when we're the happiest, right?
